Lots of other sources mention his boat sinking or nearly sinking. Maybe that was his first attempt. Either way, it sounds like he did something. ....More than me anyway. Maybe not as much as Arrow, but still it was something.

We've got confirmed reports of Penn helping people in his own boat, giving them money and taking them to medical facilities. But he's also critical of Bush's Iraq policies. So how does Fox go about 'damage control' re Penn's criticisms? Sean Hannity does a show and appoints Sean Penn as an "Enemy of the State". That's the title of the show and Penn is castrated by Hannity. No factual stuff, just mindless drivel where Penn is even called 'a bad actor' (nominated for 25 'best actor' awards and he's a bad actor....LOL). It was simply a character assasination by the Fox assault team.
Think about that: guy puts himself in harm's way, helps Katrina victims and is subsequently labeled 'an enemy of the state' by the propaganda arm of a political party. If this was a made for tv show, it wouldn't be believable. Nobody would believe the premise.
And if there's a true left leaning tv network, why hasn't Bush's rumored homosexuality been brought up? Jed's ex-wife has spoken about it. The church GW was steered to after he'd bottomed out on drugs and alcohol was a church that was noted for flipping its' gay church goers to christ and heterosexuality. And during GW's cheerleading days at Yale, he made 'friendships' where he's been called a 'considerate lover' by other gays. You've got these stories all coming from different people and sources and NOBODY puts a word on tv. Why? If there was a propoganda arm of the left, there'd have been political ads like 'it's 10 pm. do you know where your kids are? And who's ball sack is slamming GW's chin tonight?' Hell, they wouldn't have had to actually accuse him of anything, just mention the stories. Damage done. One mention of it from any of the networks and there wouldn't have been a need for an election count. It would have been unanimous.
Could you imagine what Hannity and the Fox propaganda team would say if this was an opponent? Big difference between having a left or right 'lean' and being a propaganda arm of a party.

Sounds like you have the same obsession with Fox that i do. A god dam retard should be able to see it.
NO. The difficult part is 'layers'.....sort of like onions. Parts of the Fox broadcast can be quite entertaining while just having a mild right wing lean. Others can cut to the core of the onion with no facts and just sheer hatred and propaganda. It's often hard to tell where one layer starts and the other one begins. They're often all over the board.
Kosar mentioned a newscaster that conducted a very heartfelt telecast re the Katrina ordeal. It was a great job by a very compassionate man. Great telecast. And then there's Hannity and Hume.....and I want to puke. It's almost like you have to analyze what they say from a far or get sucked in by their spin on lots of issues. It's a dangerous network that has an agenda, and they certainly do.
I guess i just watched it at the wrong times. I see the Hannity's and Oreilly's spew there bullshit and then i take a look at it on Sundays and its a group of guys with the same old tired shit. This Fred Barnes character is almost as bad as Hannity. I don't know what is more disturbing what they say or the people who fall for it. Just watching the Republican debate and they talk about nothing but terror ought to tell people something. Then this con man Rudy starts pounding his chest and a bunch of nitwits in the crowd roar with approval while im getting sick to my stomach. This group of clueless nitwits are roaring for a complete line of bullshit of fear while not realizing why we have this fear.:shrug: Greta is okay tho if you want to watch silly shit. The best tho is having the weak nasty looking Liberal Combs go up against a good looking fake conservative Hannity. where did they ever find Combs?

I agree. I can't take Fox after 5pm, and haven't watched it at night for years but I do watch it during the day quite a bit.

As far as the Penn thing, if all these 'rescues' really happened, i'm quite surprised that there was no mention of it on any mainstream news source then or now, at least that i'm aware of.

I competely agree. Sometimes it's almost scary how some of the 'real news' just seems to fall through cracks while we concentrate on Britney's crack.
Hell, I'm not even completely sold on Penn's rescues but he's done nothing to deserve an entire 30 minute network show titled 'enemy of the state.'
