This guy is overatted and a media creation. His brainstorm of grabbing bubby brister a few years ago fell flat on its face and everyone knew it would but why sign this stiff Patrick Ramsey. It gets old hearing what a genius this guy is. Its amazing what a top 5 quarterback in the history of the game can do for you (Elway). I was shocked last year when the jets took this stiff Ramsey. Denver better pray Cutler stays healthy. Shanahan is an okay coach and that is it. A genius doesn't make these type of decision. Same type of decision that got him Jack the Snake. He thought he would be the factor to turn Jake around. Jake played okay but he made the same dumb mistakes he always made. I actually think i would rather have Grossman before this stiff Ramsey.

how many championships did elway win without him???i dont think anybody thinks hes one of the top coaches in the league ,so hes not overrated..the guy is good,no doubt about it..your talking more about personel decisions, not coaching.hes a top 10 coach.

I think he finally has a QB that can open up the field (since Elway left) and his penchant for offense will show this year with basically a rookie QB...

I certainly think he is one of the top coaches in the league. There are not many elite ones with only Billy Boy coming to mind.

Shanny is a hall of fame coach and is definitley one of the top coaches in the league right now. Look at the recent draft picks hes made after the 1st round....Dummervil, Darrent Williams RIP, Domonique Foxworth, Tatum Bell, Clinton Portis, Brandon Marshall, Tony Scheffler.......all good players, and you will be surprised when you see how good Brandon Marshall will get.

moe i would agree with that. I think he is overatted compared to what they say about him on television. As a coach im not saying he is bad but you hear them talk about him like he is a Vince lombardi clone. It is always genuis this genuis that.

the kid that passed away couldn't cover a bed let alone a receiver. There defense stunk all the way around. it couldn't stop the run or a decent passing quarterback unless it was one of thsoe shit nfc teams.

lol are you crazy? Darrent was going to be a probowl DB. He was in his 2nd year and played the defense he had to, he played zone and that defense got burned often because of the horrible pass rush. Dunno how you come up with the theory that their defense stunk all around because they let up what, 1 td in their first 5 games? What are you so mad at? You must be a KC or Chokeland fan. Cutler has a stronger arm than Elway did, and Cutler will be an incredible QB.

I guess if you are satisfied with around an 8-8, 9-7 record every year and a first or second round playoff loss the Shanahan has done a fine job

By the way Portis was a 1st rounder and Tatum Bell was recently traded:142smilie

How about that great coaching job he did the last game of the year against that powerhouse San Francisco team? Took them right out of the playoffs. Good thing tho because Manning or Brady would have embarrassed that defense. I think John Lynch is fifty now. He couldn't cover a pillow either. The other cornerback was gonna be a pro bowler :mj07: He got burnt more than breakfast at this shit diner i have near my house. With Bly there im sure Bailey will once again get to play some cause with that kid on the other corner why even look at Baily.

no, idiot, portis was a 2nd round pick.

He was drafted by the Denver Broncos with the 19th pick in the second round (51st overall) of the 2002 NFL Draft. After his first season with the Broncos, Portis was named The "NFL Offensive Rookie of the Year" by the Associated Press. He rushed for over 1,500 yards in each of his first two seasons with the Broncos, and more impressive had a staggering 5+ YPC in each of his 2 seasons as a Bronco. In his second season, he was voted for the 2004 Pro Bowl.

and 2nd, they are 1 year removed from the afc championship. go away.

yes i am very happy with bly because this is going to change the whole defense. bates was very successful in miami with 2 shutdown corners in madison and surtain, and now he has 2 that are better in bly and bailey. this will also help the pass rush and let us blitz more. last year they were forced to play zone and put the corners on islands and darrent always got thrown at. he had the potential to be great, which champ said numerous times. the 1st week of training camp as a rookie champ told shanny that we had someone special

actually, San Fran is much improved. they beat seattle twice. they should have beat the 9ers but the 9ers are a much different team than they were to start the year. john lynch may be "fifty" but hes still a great safety and incredible team leader.

you still havent answered my question...are you a chokeland and chiefs fan?

Here is your answer. I couldn't care who wins unless i am betting on them. I have no favorite teams. When i was a young pup like you i did but not now. I am a fan of good coaching and right now i only see two of them and that is Bellicheck and Payton. I like guys who when i watch i think to myself "hey what a good idea" Not a guy the press tries to force feed me like Shanahan. I like Lovie to and if Lewis could get his criminals in order in Cincy he looks like he has a shot at the bowl this year.

not sure if you have been paying any attention but Lewis took over a brutal club. Lovie is doing a solid job in Chicago. I think im beginning to waste my time with you. Actually i knew it when i first responded to you. You are right shanahan is a genuis. He will turn Patrick Ramsey around just like he did with Bubby and Jake the Snake. There is a reason he drafted Cutler and that is because he realize like everyone else that Jake is a mistake waiting to happen. He just realizes it two or three years later than everyone else.
