i have a feeling he's going with michigan. michigan off a drubbing at NW now faces a weak road team in Minn who's 1-3 on the road.

yeah, that 3pt loss as a 16pt dog was shameful. by 9 at sparty, 8 at wisky. they're garbage. Won 3 of 4 since that wisc/msu back to back and michigan's won 1 game since conference play started. now, i had michigan + the pts v kansas, and was disappointed with ohio state's showing in ann arbor, but the northwestern play was easy as could be and michigan has shown they are not at this time a tournament level team and probably will only be relevant as a dog in the BIG10 the rest of the season, except vs maybe Iowa.
minnesota's building on a couple of early season quality wins and playing very tough in conference. i thought the line would be minny -2 or -3 as well, and this point and a half shouldn't be a problem. with 5 days rest i think tubby's boys are ready to go get above .500 in the BIG10.

like the play and will be parlaying it along with you, el JB

My big play is actually going to be on the total, which i'm seeing at 128.5 at some books, but my line isn't up yet.

My play will be on the over, but I think I will find a better line than 128.5. My theory is two fold because I see this game going in two possible directions.

Minnesota has all sorts of revenge factors on their brain, in fact Michigan beat them by 30 last year in Ann Arbor. They very well could hang a 40 on Michigan 1st half and Michigan will quit in the 2nd half if their 3's stop falling...like vs Purdue. A 40-32 score at half would not shock me.

The other part of my brain says Michigan OWNS Tubby Smith. Now a lot of that had to do with DeShawn Sims being a terrible match-up problem for him, but Michigan and more importantly Beihlein NEEDS this win. I'm expecting a close game from a desperate team vs an angry team wanting revenge. I think you see 12-16 points scored in the last 2 minutes to get this game over the number due to fouls and Michigan desperation.

Deep down I think Michigan pulls it off, whether it be home court calls or just the comfort of their own rims which seems to help Novak, Douglass, Smotrycz and company. But the smarter play is on the total. Minnesota edge is obviously in the paint with Sampson and the arrested dude, but I don't think Tubby likes to play that way. Keep Hoffarber under 20 and Michigan SHOULD win.

Predicted score:

Michigan 68 Minnesota 65

Record on Michigan games is 21-4 past 2 seasons.

This game will also be easy to read for a 2H play..when Michigan beats Minnesota they jump all over them early and win wire to wire. If Michigan is up at half, they will win the game. If Michigan is down by 5 or more, they will lose. If the game is withing 2-3 points or tied I will play the over in the 2H.

CapMan you seem to know your Michigan ways very well and who am i to disagreee on that? i see Minny well coached and winning good quality games, not to mention the issue of REVENGE... surely they have a losing record on the road, but if you say this will be close and the OVER is possibly a sure thing to go i may take that OVER along with Minny(now +2) and also Georgia State -4 as another three teamer. I find this kind of bet is very profitable as i can lose up to 5 and still make a profit if i hit the sixth, and by now i'm 1-1 on threee teamers:0074

I can't really argue with picking Minnesota. You'll be able to get your money back at half if Michigan holds the advantage. If Minnesota is rolling then you can double up. Its a pretty simple formula with these young Wolves.

Michigan 2H -1.

They are going to win this game. They played the better half and Minnesota refuses to come out on shooters. Michigan might hit 15 3's. Still feel good about the over. Nolan is hurt for Minnesota, one of their better perimeter defenders. Minnesota is going to pound it down low, expect Michigan to have 7 team fouls with 8 minutes left. Without Nolan, Darious Morris will get going this half and create some 3 point play opportunities and drive and kicks.

Official play

Michigan 2h -1. 550-500

Final score 68-65

classic Michigan 2010-11..they didn't score for 6 minutes in the 2nd half or they win this game easy..they will be much better next year. But for now, this is an easy team to read.

Next game..at Michigan State..oh boy

Great hit, I tailed it for a few dollars and it wasn't looking pretty, but a nice finish to say the least. Good job.

CapMan,

As a fellow Michigan fan, I would like to know what you have seen or heard this year that would lead you to believe that this team "will be much better next year". I can understand that the Big Ten will be less talented next year (Purdue loses a lot, OSU will lose all 5 starters, etc...) but I don't necessarily think that will translate into this Michigan being better...
