In college football (unlike the nfl) emotion plays a big
part in how teams play and prepare. We saw it multiple times this year alone. Utah retired the 2 players who died and the kids hand painted their helmets and they beat USC. Texas Tech played like a team possessed last night beating a very good ole miss team badly!
In my lifetime an active Head coach has never died in season. I cannot remember there ever being more to play for than miss state in this game! Illinois star rb opted out and i
can it see a scenario where Miss State loses this game! Please talk me off miss state.

Other examples: Tyler Trent wanted to see Purdue beat Ohio state before he died, they kicked that overrated ass! Usc played at Boston college a few years ago and the students wore the red hankerchifes for the guy who ran in the twin towers and saved like 20 people. Boston College boatraced a good usc team that night!

I was down for the year- got gutted by Ohio state money line, Michigan and Clemson. Decided to take a shot and put all on State to get nd the year up. Ugly game and state played softer than the footballs at foxborough but got the win and cover in dramatic fashion! This one’s for your coach!
