Missouri Tigers head coach Kim Anderson said Monday that freshman wing Montaque Gill-Caesar will not play against Kentucky Tuesday night.
A back injury is continuing to limit the former UK recruit, who at one time was thought to be favoring the Wildcats before ultimately signing with the Tigers.
Gill-Caesar, MU?s second-leading scorer at 11.5 points per game, has experienced back spasms throughout the past month that have caused him to miss several games, including Saturday?s loss at Auburn.
An MRI and bone scan revealed no structural damage, but Gill-Caesar remains sore. He suffered the initial injury Dec. 20 on a flagrant foul by Illinois? Leron Black, which sent Gill-Caesar awkwardly crashing to the floor on his lower back.
