March Madness 2-0 + $1,528.00

The thing I like and hate about March Madness is that you can make a good call and win and you got to get right on to capping the next game as it will be going off the next fawking day.

Its the pressure of sports wagering.

Some people get crushed under the pressure.

KOD eats pressure for lunch.

There have been bumps in the road for UConn.

If Missouri can get the big man in foul trouble , UConn will be reduced to their size.

Force the big man outside as he will have to guard the 3 pointers raining down on their heads.

I love Missouri's run and gun style.

Memphis was holding teams to 57 points .

Missouri said shit squat to that.

Missouri possible upset UConn in this game.

I love the team play concept that is ingrained in this Missouri team. They are athletic and unselfish.

I like the points

Thats what it takes to beat a team like UConn .

Let us first consider the question:
Who are the combatants in this game on Saturday.

On one side we have a UConn group composed of the oppressor and his agents, the professional players, well armed and disciplined, in many cases receiving monetary help as well as the help of the phone calls in the employ of the oppressors.

On the other side are Missouri and the people of the region involved. It is important to emphasize that basketball is a war of the masses, and a war of team.

The Missouri team is an armed nucleus, the fighting vanguard of the people. It draws its great force from the mass of the people themselves. The Missouri team is not to be considered weaker to UConn against which it fights simply because it is inferior in firepower. Team warfare is used by the side which is supported by a majority but which possesses a much smaller number of arms for use in defense against the opposition"

March Madness- gotta love it

We have got to somehow just disrupt what they want to do," Mizzou coach Mike Anderson said.

This game is about contrasting styles, on and off the court.

At UConn, Final Four trips are expected. At Missouri, they're still a dream.

When this season tipped off, UConn was among a select group of legitimate national title contenders. The Huskies have weathered some adversity, including the loss of point guard Jerome Dyson in February and, this week, a Yahoo! Sports report alleging that UConn broke NCAA rules when it recruited former basketball player Nate Miles.

Missouri has had its share of hoops success. But the Tigers have never reached the Final Four, falling one win shy four times, most recently in 2002, when they lost to Big 12 rival Oklahoma.

With 15 more wins than a year ago, Missouri is the nation's most improved team, and the Tigers' 31 victories set a school record. :0corn

Missouri sweeping to the Big 12 tourney title.

The Tigers' swift transformation has come under Anderson, in his third year at Columbia. He's a Nolan Richardson disciple who blitzes opponents with waves of fresh bodies off the bench.

That style proved effective in the 102-91 victory over Memphis. Mizzou led by 24 early in the second half and shot 53.2 percent from the floor.

"What Missouri did to that defense is absolutely astounding," Calhoun said.:scared

Against Memphis, nine Missouri Tigers played at least 11 minutes, and only Tiller was on the floor for more than 30. Memphis, by contrast, had only one reserve play more than six minutes, and four starters had more than 30 minutes.

Against Purdue, only one UConn reserve played more than 10 minutes -- guard Kemba Walker -- and all five starters logged at least 28 minutes.

Thabeet controlls the middle blocking shots and essentially turning the lane into a no-fly zone/

The Tigers will wear down Thabeet in a fullcourt game, and get him in foul trouble. He's fouled out of two of UConn's four losses. :SIB :0corn

"I think the biggest key is we've got to get that big beast to run," Missouri forward DeMarre Carroll said. "So hopefully we can get him running up and down the court, and fatigue could be a big factor in this game."

Thabeet may have to drift away from the post to guard Mizzou's big men, who often launch jumpers from outside the lane.

THREE THINGS MISSOURI MUST DO:

1. Keep the pace as frenetic as possible. The Tigers simply wore down Memphis with their style on Thursday. If they can get up and down the court as quickly as they can, it will take UConn 7-3 Hasheem Thabeet out of the game defensively. Can't see him getting back on defense a whole lot.

2. Not allow too many second chances for the Huskies. Their style will force teams to put up some hurried shots. UConn is a terrific offensive rebounding team. The Tigers will have to keep Thabeet and Jeff Adrien off the offensive glass.

3. Hit outside shots early. Their offense gears toward going to the hoop, then kicking out if that's not open. If they can hit some bombs early, that will go a long way toward spreading the court.

THREE THINGS UCONN MUST DO:

1. Don't get caught up playing Missouri's game. The Huskies can score and they can run, but not at Missouri's pace. They'll need to slow it down at times to get Thabeet in position down low and take advantage of their size down low.

2. Find a way to defend without Thabeet. He might become invisible on the defensive end when the game is at a full sprint most of the day. He is usually the defensive security blanket under the basket on penetrators. Today, he'll still be trotting downcourt many times when Mizzou is driving to the hoop.:scared

3. Stay out of foul trouble. Weariness often leads to bad fouls. Mizzou will certainly wear teams down and is great at getting to the foul line. If some UConn stars are saddled with foul problems, the playing field becomes a lot more even. :0corn

Its not UConns defense that will get them in trouble in this game. Its their inconsistant offense that could be their downfall.

Love the way Carrol and Lyons are playing.

Tillers has been playing lights out.

UConn's Thabeet will have a lot of trouble running with Mizzous offense up and down all game.

Missouri can cover 50% of rebounds and they will be tough to beat.

Missouri must come out and get a lead. They have to be intense this entire game and not let up for this to cover. If they get down on themselves and frustrated, it will not be good.

up tempo. Rain the 3's . Trust and confidence.

the intangible Missouri has is TEAM !
