Hey ya'll, I've been here at MJ's since 2005 under this name and it occured to me today browsing some other threads, another forum poster posts their picks at the Rx.

I hope no one thinks I am this person ............

"Thanks everyone for the good words. No one is ever perfect and its hard to keep everyone happy, but I never have bad intentions for posters on the Rx.

Still its part of the territory to have to take criticism and I welcome all comments, good and bad. In fact I wish people that don't like what I write to say more about what they don't like. I can't get any better if you say "the article was crap" or something to that effect. Usually I stick to the non-controversial stuff in writing, aiming to garner as wide an audience as possible, but yesterday's was something different and I fully expected there to be some pretty pointed opinions on it. Unfortunately there are precious few stories I can write that will interest every level of reader here, lurkers included, and leave everyone with a smile on their face. Every once in awhile I like to challenge myself and the readers to get more expressive and discuss tougher issues that matter to all of us.

And to the Shrink, I am thankful for the day you asked me to contribute in this role. It has been a great experience so far and opened up doors to more people in this great industry. Even though much of society and probably a number of readers think bookies and the industry are shady, I can assure you there are tons of good people around who wish they could prove you wrong. Lots of interesting characters, lots of people with sketchy legal backgrounds, but one thing I can say is almost all of them are intelligent and respectful people with an amazing level of love for the business. For every "bad" person who people bring up on occasion here, I can probably name 50 good ones, with the Shrink being one of the best. Everywhere you go and everyone you talk to loves the guy and wonders when he will be around. Almost every book manager I met down in my last trip to Costa Rica asked me why I didn't bring he with me. People on here sometimes point out mistakes he might have made or decisions they don't agree with and wonder how come he still has so much clout. I can tell you if you met some of these insiders and heard what they say about Ken, you would realize while he has to tend to business at times, he still is a great people person that everyone loves to have around.

Ok, enough of the love fest, I am back to a not so controversial article next time up..."

From the Rx! WildBill. He used a Phoenix Suns avatar from the thread I checked out today from back in 2005 for this post copied from Rx forum.

I've only had this name since aol days and BBYATSC and am thinking of changing my user name so there is no mistake in identity and so that I'm not labeled as that person whomever he is or was, WildBill. But I think some fellow posters at MJ might get me confused with him? I dunno!

The only other name I've used for Big Guy was "Sports Dawg" before Dan sold that site years ago before it finally came to rest over a year ago. They owe me some big time money too, btw!! :142smilie

Anyways..........thoughts if I should change my name or not or any comments about anything?

Sorry for throwing this out there but when I did a search for "Wild Bill", that post came up and kinda amused me that someone was using the name "WildBill" other than me back then at the Rx when I never associated myself with the Shrink's forum.

Thanks!
