The Guist brothers, Mitchell and Glenn, lived entirely on the land. They loved to hunt and fish as a means of survival. While city-dwellers fight the urban sprawl and freeway traffic, the two enjoy hunting alligators and picking off squirrels while they sit on their front porch.
As one reader and fan of the Swamp People show said, "He died doing what he loved."
While Mitchell Guist has died, his memory will undoubtedly live on with his brother, Glenn, and the show that made simple living, well...lively.
