will be our next President of the United States.

He kicked some ass tonight in the Florida debate.
If he runs against Hillary he will win in a landslide.

wow, if it's hillary vs. rommney, you heard it hear first, I'll be voting for Hillary. If it's Obama vs. Romney, I will abstain.

Having tough time deciding who I like--each candidate has at least one point I pretty strongly dislike on either-economy or immigration or defence.
Guess it could be worse--Apears Dems having tough time on their issues also--imagine the anxiety if your a black female.

I was going to start a thread asking everyone for their predictions on the nominees from both parties, but this thread has a few guesses in it, so I'll toss my predictions in here...

It will be Obama Vs Romney and Obama wins 65% to 35%....

And pigs will fly next week...:mj07:

man... McCain and ole Mitt are both idiots. If i was a republican:mj07: (thank god i'm not) I would have to vote ron paul...

Agree with you on mcCain--if brains were dynamite, that old fossil couldn't blow his nose...

Disagree about Romney; think he is very intelligent--believe he has a hard time showing it, but the only one in the race that has more brain power than him is Obama, IMO.

Interesting to see the opinions flying around in here. This thing is still very much up in the air. My gut instincts have changed on the republican side, as originally I thought Giuliani would be propped up as a savior, but is losing too much ground, and if he loses Florida he is done, IMO.

After all is said and done, I still think Hillary will win the nomination - she should carry some of the big bellweather states, and her team is really strong and well-financed. Gun to my head, I think it may be Hillary against McCain, with Hillary winning. But to be quite honest, I might consider a vote for McCain - he remains for me the most real, straightforward candidate, and I think he would make a good President. There are no other republicans that I would remotely consider voting for...would support Clinton, Obama or Edwards against any of them.

And I really do think the VP selection will have an impact, and I think there will be a 3rd party ticket that could be a problem for either side, especially if the two party races remain so competitive/combative.

cause i`m a crazed neocon...actually,it was sarcasm,sort of...

seriously, batfreak,i`m a conservative(and btw, welcome to the fray..don`t be thin skinned and never take the political dialogue and snarkiness personally....it`s all about discussion, differing points of view,advocatism/advocacy and the kind of snarky, good natured ball busting one would expect on a gambling forum)...

i`m your friend...but,we`ll inevitably butt heads...and it`s no biggie...

i don`t believe in socialism, big gov`t,a weakened military...i don`t want terrorist p.o.w.`s from guantanamo bay brought into our country and afforded the same rights as american citizens, not to mention access to shyster aclu lawyers like eddie haskell.......

i don`t want to be taxed out the ying yang...i believe that we have to try and derive as favorable a result in iraq as is possible...

i don`t want the patriot act overturned...i want us to stay vigilant and pro-active against terrorism...

i want the borders SEALED....FIRST.....then we can decide whether the millions of illegals already here can be accomodated in some way...

i don`t know as much about obama...and from what i`ve read,he`s even more liberal than the pantsuit...

but,in spite of the afrocentric church and his liberal bent, theres something refreshing about the guy.....

i don`t like hillary and bill`s dirty politics....and i find it refreshing that the media isn`t giving bill and hill the usual free ride....the woman thing seems to be somewahat offset by the fact that obama`s african american...so,it`s much harder to play "the victim",even though hillary used the "crying "thing very effectively....

and,it`s very enjoyable for me to watch bill throw so many hissy`s on the campaign trail...

and just for the record..i thought the bill impeachment/blowjob ordeal was a joke...a political witchhunt ...and bad for the country...it was as responsible for the extemely partisan political climate we have in this country as was the "gore election conspiracy" b.s. 8 years ago...

but it`s getting late...time to pare down the field and get it on....

again,welcome....and remember..conservatives are outnumbered here about 5-1...so we have to try harder...

sooooo, throw on your kevlar longjohns and have fun....

Hillary is gonna win, gw.......so get your blades sharpened up and ready for the fun. I can't stand her.......I lean a little left politically, but I'm with Chadman......tough to vote for her. She's slimy in all the wrong places. This week just the latest boooolshit out of those two.....takes some big nards for Team Clinton to bring up someone else's shady real estate dealings. Then, after getting the debate soundbite and running an ad for one day, they pull it and say let's keep it clean? are we all that freakin' dumb that we can't see the same old political tactics? Didn't anyone even watch West Wing?

Experience? Who the fawk was he 16yrs ago? He's on TV more than she is, so why not make him VP so he can't cry foul if he's the victim of a "hit job" from Barry's camp. Its an interesting race, but the endgame just isn't gonna deliver, imho. Barry made a joke on Letterman about Oprah for VP last nite, but I swear it might work. People are just plain stupid in large groups.

BTW......I get the NYT endorsing candidates, but not sure its right to bash another specific candidate in the endorsement, vis a vis the shots taken at Jules in the McCain endorsement. I used to read this rag every Sunday, but I don't have any pets to potty-train anymore, so I just go on-line.

Getting pissed again.........frickin' coffee!!

P.S. Romney is an absolute ball-licker! His only shot is a recession so he can work his venture capitalist angle (no shot on this angle against the 3rd party guy, if he goes) b/c his universal health care plan in Mass. is going in the crapper, he's a Mormon, and his stances are all over the freakin' place........easy pickins in the gen. election.

i agree on the hillary/pres. assessment....i`ve been saying it in this forum from the jump....the clintons have a HUGE machine..and they know every trick in the book...

doesn`t mean i`m right(just check out my college foots record this year...lol)....

but,if thats the case,i`ll feel much better about republicans(remember,i`m a CONSERVATIVE,not necessarily a republican)if they/we lose with say a romney rather than a mcamnesty or a huckleberry.....

being that you`re here, you obviously gamble a bit, doc...so you know,it`s never a wise thing to crow to early....:nono:

mojo is a powerful thing...

Mitt did very well. They say he got more questions thrown at him then the others. It did seem that way. I hate to say it Mc Cain is showing alittle of his age. Paul continues to say the truth. But folks rather here these fake promises. Just makes us feal good. Paul promises nothing. I thought last week it would be Mc Cain/Thompson Vs Hillary Obama. It looks more like Mitt/Thompson vs Obama/????

i think either mccain or romney can & will beat hillary...& then i will have a nice dinner compliments of smurphy...:00hour.

my preference was giuliani but he has run a horrible campaign...his team's strategy is so bad that they make the thompson crew look like rocket scientists.....

my prediction is that mccain & romney will work out a deal with mccain only seeking 1 term & romney will be his vp candidate while the dems ticket will be hillary/wesley clark..

the reason why i think the republicans will beat hillary is because they will not let the bill & hillary show get away with the stuff that obama let's them get away with.....

as far as i'm concerned i may not vote & just go to the bar with gardenweasel & get drunk watching the results...
