we would have to find a place that's convenient to all 3 of us...

gw is in the east, i'm in the sw, & you're in the midwest (?)....so the only place i can think of is vegas....don't worry i think me & gw will be getting checks & we'll bring them to use for drinking money...

i think either mccain or romney can & will beat hillary...& then i will have a nice dinner compliments of smurphy...:00hour.

my preference was giuliani but he has run a horrible campaign...his team's strategy is so bad that they make the thompson crew look like rocket scientists.....

my prediction is that mccain & romney will work out a deal with mccain only seeking 1 term & romney will be his vp candidate while the dems ticket will be hillary/wesley clark..

the reason why i think the republicans will beat hillary is because they will not let the bill & hillary show get away with the stuff that obama let's them get away with.....

as far as i'm concerned i may not vote & just go to the bar with gardenweasel & get drunk watching the results...

it`s a damned shame the way rudy`s campaign strategy backfired....a damned shame....

ar..if you find the time, read the ny times article endorsing hillary and mccain......they really savaged rudy in the article...very sad...

imo,the ny times endorsing capt. mccaingaroo could be the final nail in his coffin with many of the primaries that allow "independents" to vote now in the rear view mirror.....

btw....next year, please don`t abandon the college foots forum....i think i wagered on 11 games and lost 8 of em...considering oil prices, the outhouse got a bit drafty this year without that extra cash...:D

have pitty next year,my buddy....

From what every one of you guys is saying

Ron Paul isn't even an influence on the election at this point?

Did he peak too soon? I use to have that problem. Now I just think of baseball.

my pleasure....only,don`t be to nice to me....my heart can`t take it...and i`d hate to see you give the wrong impression to the other libs in the forum...they`ll stomp you like a grape...you don`t deserve that...

and anyways,i think i`m probably on the losing side in this election battle..

a guiliani/mitt/duncan hunter ticket(in any combination) appeals to me(but,so does nicole kidman..and neither of those seem to be coming my way)....

again,welcome....and remember..conservatives are outnumbered here about 5-1...so we have to try harder...

Batfreak - The Wease is correct in that conservatives are outnumbered in here right now (although it's probably 2ish to 1, not 5-to-1). However, it should be noted that the opposite was true in the runup to the 2004 election, with Bush supporters having a significant majority in here.

Oh well to late, I added you and redsfaann to my buddy list, as a matter of fact, all the guy's I work with are conservatives, go figure...

why, thank you, my new internet friend.

And my politics are slightly to the left of Mao, if you gotta know....:D

Hope I still merit a listing on your buddy list, comrade....:mj07:

Not my recollection either--

You will find if you go back and search--they are generally quite vocal prior to elections--but then absent for year or 2. :)

Well by all means, do a search of the political posts in late summer/early fall of 2004. And then try to say with a straight face that there were less Bush supporters in here at that time.

Actually, I have a weekend of hell in front of me, so tonight I'm cooking (or attempting to, at least) a nice dinner and having a few drinks while staying in. Maybe I'll check it out myself. If I'm wrong, I'll cop to it.

HEY BATFREAK! Always good to see another Central Coast representitive around here.

Nipomo - that's where that swap meet is with those awful commercials. "It's not Nipomo (said in whimpy voice), it's Nipomo (said in booming voice)."

I just can't wait til Superbowl is over, I can put an end to the HK Contest, and take a break from the forum til Summer. Seriously, I hate each and every one of you more and more every day.

Weasel, why do you say "snarky" so much? Please expand your vocabulary.

The Irish can be so temperamental, especially the black Irish.

O'Bama '08:00hour

I'm just in a bad mood because I have to give up alcohol, coffee, and spicy foods for 2 weeks while I medicate my acid reflux. Day 1 and my urge to kill is rising. Gonna be a difficult weekend and a miserable Superbowl.

Tough times Murph. At least you can have a few burritos with some Irish coffee to wash it down.

:SIB

That which doesn't kill you, sometimes makes you wish it did. Hang in there. For your own good, I have alerted the Bowling Green authorities to be on the look out for a wild eyed Irishman looking for trouble.
