HR Champ

Guerrero +450

He has the least HR's amongst them but is the third choice at +450. I will bite. I do like the fact that most of these guys will win almost double their salary this year if they win. I think that is some good motivation.

On this one. Good luck to us

Big game for the Phillies today as getting swept by the Nats at home would be a horrible start to the second half. Just do not trust Arrieta though especially when he is not 100%. He has a 4.79 career ERA against the Nats and the Phillies bullpen is as bad as the Nats.

National TT Ov 4.5

The total at 10.5 on this one just seems off to me. I thought about just going with the over, but I am going against the pitcher that has been struggling, so I see the Nats getting to Arrieta.

In his last 5 outings Corbin has been great for the Nats and he has been striking batters out much more than he did earlier in the season. His lowest strikeout total in the his last 5 starts has been 7 and he struck out 10 Phillies in his last outing. I will ride this trend:

Corbin total K's Ov 6.5

Do not have a lot of faith in Gausman coming back, which is why this line is not much higher, but I think Joe Ross is worse. Doubt he makes it 5 and then to the bad bullpen.

Atlanta -155

Never play a lot on baseball games but I like this one.

Thanks!! Was a biggie for me, probably my biggest play in baseball for the year. Don't like playing much in baseball but this one stuck out. Just waiting for soccer to heat up.

Tough to go against the Nats at home right now especially against a Colorado team that is struggling, but I am doing just that:

Colorado EV Game 1

Fedde actually had a great outing last week and then Martinez screwed it up by taking him out after only 66 pitches. Maybe they stretch him to 80 today but that still leaves a lot of work for the horrible bullpen. Nats are riding high after last night, but they got Corbin going in Game 2 and Scherzer tomorrow, so I think this is the game they are vulnerable especially with Gray on the mound. Worth a couple bucks for me.

I initially thought the Nats would be in trouble the first two games agains the Dodgers, but I never thought Ryu would be -170. I really think this line is ridiculous so I am playing:

Dodgers -1.5 -115

Yup and I am coming back strong with them tonight.

Dodgers -165

This line should, and likely, will be much higher soon enough. Ross sucks, at best he makes it 6 innings and then the National's disastrous bullpen strikes once again. Kershaw is simply a bonus. I am not messing around with the -1.5 tonight even though I like it. The National's lesser starters against strong teams is simply a great play against since their bullpen is epically bad. With any kind of a bullpen this team has the best record in baseball.

Line went to -170 when I bet it and I just did a parlay and it jumped again.

And now we get Grace starting instead of Ross. It just keeps getting better. Maybe the Nats should just take the day off. How can they not have a pitcher in AA or AAA that can come up and pitch. I guess Rizzo is too busy begging clubs for relievers.

No such thing as a lock in baseball, but on paper, this is one of the strongest games I have seen in a while. In my younger years I would have bet way too much on this but I have learned my lessons in baseball.

Well, I am coming back one more time. Smaller bet, but this line is telling to me. Nats have lost 3 in a row and have Strasburg going who has been on fire, but the Dodgers are favored. Looks too easy to take the Nats at home at even money with a starter who leads the league in wins.

Dodgers -120

I will continue to play against Joe Ross.

Arizona -150

Nats did get to Ray last time against him and Ross has good career numbers against AZ, but Ross has been terrible this year. He can not get his breaking stuff over the plate and opponents are killing his flat fast ball. He is a definite play against for me. My guess is we get to see a lot of the new Nats bullpen tonight.

Mets +110

Strictly a value play. I will gladly take the hottest team in baseball at plus money at home in the first game of the biggest series of the year. Sure, Strasburg has a great era against the Mets and the Mets have feasted on lesser teams, but that is what you have to do to turn a season around. The Nats did the same thing. It is a big series for the Mets as they start the tougher part of their schedule and Game 1 is key.

I will roll that miracle win into tomorrow's game:

Mets -110

Nats certainly blew this one and going to be tough to come right back tomorrow. Easy to blame Doolittle, but they lost because they still can not play good fundamental baseball. A base running mistake (player watching the play instead of the third base coach) and the inexplicable inability to hit a sacrifice fly cost them at least 3 runs in this game. I saw at least 4 opportunities with a runner on third and less than 2 outs where they could not move the runner. I am continuously amazed how this game has been changed by the lack of good sound fundamental baseball.

I am in for the sweep tomorrow and this line will only go up:

Mets -185

Nats are showing that they are an average team at best. Mets hit a sac fly to win the game and I can not remember the last time the Nats did the same.

Okay, I will bite:

Baltimore -130

I am not sure how many times they have actually been favored this year but this has to be one of the highest favored lines on them this year. They have been getting crushed almost every game lately, so I think I have to bet this one!
