MistaFlava's ***MLB PLAY OF THE YEAR*** goes on Friday, May 29 at 2:20pm ET
No Drama...dead serious. Dropping a large $10 000 on this at Pinnacle when the limits are raised in the morning and that is from my winnings on the 5k wagers the last few weeks. By far my largest bet of the season.

Chicago Cubs ML -102

Get on it now. The Cubbies are not losing this game and the opportunity is perfect with this kind of line. First of all what I am going to tell you about this game is that the Los Angeles Dodgers have now won 4 straight games as underdogs and they seem to always win when road underdogs. WELL THE DODGERS ARE FINALLY FAVORED FOR A CHANGE and that is going to change the perspective for everything.

Chad Billingsley is one of the top pitchers in baseball right now and one of the most underrated that is for sure. So one would assume that beating this pathetic Cubs lineup would not be so hard because I mean they are hitting .240 something against righties and he is one of the best out there. Well just to let you know, Billingsley made 1 career start at Wrigley Field, it was a loss, he allowed 9 hits, 2 ER's over 6.0 innings so there is no history to back him here.

LOU PINELLA WAS FURIOUS AFTER LAST NIGHT'S GAME (Thursday Night) and he declined to speak to the media after the Dodgers blew 1st and 2nd with 0 outs without getting a single run in the 8th and 9th innings. UNACCEPTABLE AND BELIEVE ME LOU is going to be on these guys today. He is going to throw everything from the kitchen sink to the gatorade container at Chad Billingsley even if it means a very unorthodox approach to this afternoon game. Let's take a look at how some of the Cubs potential batters have done against Billingsley:

Alfonso Soriano is 2 for 8 lifetime versus Billingsley
Ryan Theriot is 3 for 5 lifetime versus Billingsley (2 DP's yesterday, he is due)
Kosuke Fukudome has 1 HR in 5 career AB's versus Billingsley
Jake Fox will surely start as part of the Pinella rampage and he is top prospect
Derek Lee has 1 HR in 6 career AB's versus Billingsley
Reed Johnson is batting .270 in daytime games this season
Milton Bradley has 4 of his 5 HR's this season versus righties
Bobby Scales is batting .300 in 20 daytime AB's this season
Koyie Hill is batting .444 during the daytime this season

So the Cubbies are set to score enough runs on offense to have a chance to win this game. They have their best pitcher on the mound for this afternoon matchup and even at that they have been pegged as underdogs which is understandable but also very juicy and intriguing. Now let's talk some TED LILLY because he is a huge part of this wager.

Ted Lilly Daytime starts (this season)

3 Starts, 2-1, 21.0 IP's, 6 ER's, 2.57 ERA, 0.86 WHIP, Opponents batting .192

Ted Lilly Home starts (this season)

4 starts, 3-1, 28.0 IP's, 4 ER's, 1.29 ERA, 0.75 WHIP, Opponents batting .192

LA Dodgers batters versus Ted Lilly (career numbers)

0 for 3 lifetime for Orlando Hudson
0 for 3 lifetime for James Loney
1 for 3 lifetime for Matt Kemp
0 for 5 lifetime for Andre Ethier
4 for 21 lifetime for Casey Blake
0 for 2 lifetime for Juan Castro
1 for 8 lifetime for Rafael Furcal
1 for 6 lifetime for Brad Ausmus

7 for 51 combined, .137 AVG lifetime versus TED LILLY

So you get the point by now that Ted Lilly in a daytime game at home versus the LA Dodgers batters is going to be cash money. Pinella is going to field his most aggressive batting lineup we have seen all season and again do not be shocked if Fox gets the start.

*LA DODGERS have won only 5 of their last 16 games as road favorites

*CHICAGO CUBS have won 5 of their last 6 at home versus a right-handed starter

Not much more to say here, this is my largest wager of the season. Get on it right now, don't be shy, the Cubbies won't let us down guys. Not after last night. See you in the celebration thread.

Is Mista Flava doing well this year? He's been very streaky and there have been a few inconsistencies if I am not mistaken? Havent been over there in awhile so I am not beating up on anyone, just putting a question out there

CANT SAY BUT FOR SOMEONE TO DROP 10K ON A TEAM WHO IS DISARAY AND LOSING 9 OUT OF 11 IS IRRESPONSIBLE WIN OR LOSE. I WOULD RATHER SEE 10K ON A TEAM WITH 9 STRAIGHT WINS GOING FOR THE 10TH.

I kind of like the play but this is such bullshit. The fact that the dodgers are favored does not change anyone's perspective. The dodgers are still going to try to hit the ball and score runs. Billingsly is still going to try to get them out. I'm sure the dodgers say to themselves, " Damn we are road favorites today, we may as well pack it in today." I am sarcastic but WTF..

I personally would of thought the under was the best play, I didnt play ANYTHING on this game,,but Bills posting great numbers and the Cubs not hitting anything other then there girlfriends and Lilly being a rock at home with the wind coming straight in from center.....makes alot more sense to bet a low scoring game then to pick a side to a isolated game where one team is hot and another is cold with a challenging line:shrug: They may put up 15 runs but I would feel alot safer if that were the play....BoL MistaFlava and whoever else was brave enough to follow this
