Couple reasons.....NYY hasn't won the first two games of any series in over 10 years and I think the whole catching issue has to screw with the dugout chemistry somewhat. Two guys on the bump with era's over 4 and you know how the balls fly in New York.

Two of the left-hander's eight losses during the regular season came to Los Angeles, a pair of starts in which he surrendered nine earned runs in 13 1/3 innings.He got clobbered last October in his only playoff start for the Brewers, which came on three days' rest. He allowed five runs in 3-2/3 innings.
