White Sox -130:
This line is a gift.
The White Sox and Indians are teams heading in opposite directions, at least as far as offense goes.
Cleveland has lost 6 in a row and in the past 5 games, they have averaged only 2 runs per game. This team is pressing to get the offense going....it's a little mental with them now.
The WhiteSox on the other hand, are averaging a whopping 8.8 Runs per game in there last 7.
This is the same pitching matchup of 5 days ago and I see a lot of posts where people are playing Cleveland due to pitchers revenge factor. Are you kidding me? Revenge is not gonna play a role in this game at least how I see it.
You almost have to feel Baez is intimidated by the White Sox lineup. In that last game vs Chicago, he got lit up for 5 runs, 7 hits, and 3 walks in just 4 innings pitched.
I think Baez might be pressing a bit, as well, to have a good outing. His last 2 starts, he has not been able to locate his breaking pitches at all and has had to rely on alot of fastballs. if this continues, he will again get into all kinds of trouble with this lineup. The ChiSox are a very good fastball hitting club. In the 14.2 innings pitched this year, Baez has walked 13 batters.
Buehrle, however has become one of the best southpaws in the Majors and I gotta feel he's gonna be very motivated to pitch well in this game after his last outing against Cleveland.
In that last start, Buehrle gave up 2 runs in the 1st inning, but did not allow a baserunner to get past 2nd base after that...giving up just 5 more hits in the next 7 innings.
Buehrle, however, said it was his worst outing of the year. Although most people would look at that performance and say he pitched very well, Buehrle was somewhat disappointed. He said it was his worst outing of the year, and that he didn't have his best stuff in that game. Buehrle is looking forward to getting back on the mound. He definately won't be taking the slumping Indians in this game lightly.
Also, in this game, there is a 40% chance of rain as I write this, but I gotta feel the edge would go to the Sox in a shortened game. Baez has not gone more than 5.1 innings in his 3 starts and almost gotta feel the Sox could possibly have a nice size lead early in this game.
Good luck.
