Yesterday: 2-1 (+1 Unit)

SEASON: 225-183 (+27.95 UNITS)
Sides: 158-138 (+7.7 Units)
Totals: 67-45 (+20.25 Units)
__________________________________________

Playing 3 so far:

PHILADELPHIA -155 (Wright and Myers listed) (1 UNIT)
SAN DIEGO +145 (1 UNIT)
OVER 8.5 ANAHEIM +105 (1 UNIT)

Don't usually add plays but It's possible I could add a total play in the Cubs game tomorrow. I've got it capped and depending on the wind and the number, it may be a play. Will post it if I play it.

Also, Just put in the OVER 8.5 ANAHEIM +105 in a Carib and would be surprised if the line does not move. I kinda expect to see the line going to 9 or at least the moneyline moving abit on it...so you may wanna play it early if you're playing it.

Good luck in all your plays :D

Decided to stay clear of the Cubs total......Will just stick with the 3 I've already got.

Good luck everyone.

That's one of my reasons for posting. Now watch it be a 1-0 game. :D

NDNFAN... GOOd luck on ya plays ...whats the angle on the philly game???? at minus 155 i cant figure it...wrights era vs. them is terrible..something like 10 but he has been pitching better lately and Myers hasnt exactly been tremendous at home...i rarely see you lay over 150 juice and im wondering what you see in this one???

again good luck tonight...cooz

already have a full slate of games, but I had anaheim over as a "write in play" if I went outside my system plays, and today I'm laying off fading away dogs from my system plays (which is +32 units playing the home fav), but if I weren't, that puts me on philly too.

So far, however, whenever I butt into another thread, it has been the kiss of death....hope that changes tonight. All look very, very good.

nice talking with you in the other threads so far. I've read your posts all year long. Great season. Congrats....and keep it up.

cooz and Mack.....thanks.

Philadelphia:

Really love this game and think the -155 line is still a gift. Number of little things I will point out.

First of all let's check out some situational stuff:

Myers has only pitched 4 games in the Majors and really has been better than some of those games indicated. His last game was vs LA who had just seen him 5 days prior, so they had a pretty good idea of how to approach him. He had the awesome debut only allowing 2 hits in 8 innings.

The big problem with Myers is the fact he's been giving up the long ball and that's where the majority of his runs he's allowing are coming from. For those that don't know, Milwaukee as a team is close to the bottom in Home Runs, so this will be an advantage to Myers.

Also noticed something that I really like to look at in pitchers, especially young ones and that is how they perform under pressure. Myers has been tough so far:

Myers with runners on.....only allowing a .161 average to hitters
Myers with runners in scoring position...only allowing a .182 aver.
Myers with runners in scor pos and 2 out......allowing a .000 batting average

Basically the key is for him to not allow the long ball. The Brewers are close to the bottom in Home runs hit in the league. In the Triple-A he allowed 9 in 128 innings which is pretty good. He also had an almost 5-1 strikeout to walk ratio at Triple-A

Can't help but notice he's already induced 5 double play balls in 4 games and this could kill a lot of potential rallies as Milwuakee leads the league in double plays grounded into.

Milwaukee also tends to struggle facing a pitcher for the first time and how can't you ignore the Brewers 17-42 Road record ;)

Wright goes for Milwaukee today and the Philly hitters own him. These are some players averages that go back the past 4.5 years vs him through 1998:

Abreu .500
Anderson .571
Glanville .400
Burrell .250
Lee .571
Leiberthal .667
Polanco .294
Rollins .500

Wright is just 1-4 career with a 10.01 ERA vs Philly. Could be a mental factor for Wright from this as well...definately the worst team he fears the most.

Umpire in this one is Brian Gorman and think he favors Philly as well.

Wright has pitched twice in the past with Gorman behind the plate and did not pitch well giving up 14 Earned Runs in 9 total innings with only 3 strikeouts

Gorman has been a big "homer" ump in the past. This season he is only 13-11 for the home team, but if you can remember he started out very hot for the road teams. The home team has won 8 of his last 10 and I think you'll see much the same trend continue. Prior to the season, The Home team has won 33 of Gorman's last 46 games for a 71.7 Win % for the home team.

Hope this helps. There's a few more little angles, but these are the ones I'm weighing the most in this matchup. Hope this helps, I think the number should be a lot higher, but it's not for perception reasons.

Good luck :thumb:

Looks like some else had a sweep tonight. 3-0 with a nice dog. Did you have the extra on it?
