This is how the MLB Post-Season lineup will work without naming the teams just yet:

How are the teams seeded?
In each league, as follows:
  • No. 1 seed: Best league record (Braves most likely in NL, Balt/TB for AL)
  • No. 2 seed: Second-best division winner (Dodgers most likely in NL, TB/Balt duking it out for best in AL for #1 seed, runner up will be 2 seed)
  • No. 3 seed: Third-best division winner (Twins in AL, Milwaukee in NL)
  • No. 4 seed: Best record among Wild Card teams (Likely the Phils in NL, Tor/Sea/Hou/Tx fighting it out)
  • No. 5 seed: Second-best record among Wild Card teams (Likely Arizona, Reds, Cubs & Marlins duking it out, SF still a longshot)
  • No. 6 seed: Third-best record among Wild Card teams (Between Tor, Sea, Tex, Hou in AL, Cubs/Marlins/AZ, Reds in NL)
