TJ- Thanks. Yep, baskets right around the corner.

Overall Record: 11-6 (+6.35 units)

Wednesday 10/9:
Twins +100 (Ortiz/Reed)
Angels/Twins Over 9 (-120) (Ortiz/Reed)

Props:
Torii Hunter -105 Over Garret Anderson (Most Total Bases)
Corey Koskie -115 Over Troy Glaus (Most Total Bases)
Edgar Renteria -130 Over Rich Aurilia (Most Tota Bases)

Strange line IMO. Twins were almost automatic at home vs. righthanders this season. Postseason home dominance is well documented. Reed is 3-0 against Anaheim since joining the AL, not allowing more than 2ER's in those starts and only 1BB total. Not many at-bats to go on, but he has shutdown the middle of the Angels order...Salmon, Anderson, Glaus a combined 3 for 29 against Reed with no extra-base hits. I have zero confidence in Ortiz tonight. I don't like him in a pressure situation like this, especially in a madhouse such as the Metrodome. Had nothing in his start vs. NY, and his confidence can be shaken rather easily as he can have major control problems. Lifetime 6.21 ERA, 1.52 WHIP vs. Minny. Five of the Twins starting lineup are hitting over .270 against Ortiz in limited at-bats but six of them have also homered off Ortiz. I think he gets rocked tonight.

As for the props, as mentioned, Anderson and Glaus have done zilch against Reed...Hunter and Glaus are both 5 for 13 vs Ortiz. Aurilia only 3 for 16 vs Morris with three singles...Renteria 6 for 23 vs Rueter (nothing too special) but is slugging .522 with three extra-base hits.

Would you mind terribly passing along where you got the matchup info? I know CBS Sportsline has it for selected combos, but it would be very nice to have for all players. If it's proprietary or personal, obviously never mind :)

Thanks if you can help.

Thank you for investing your time here, hoops. I've been learning from you for a couple of years now. You are gifted and a great student of the art of capping . I've enjoyed watching your success expand into several sports. A wonderful asset to this site, you are. Thx again ! :)

Nakor- No problem. I use the stats from Yahoo. Just go to the MLB section, click on the particular pitcher's profile, then they have pitching splits and batter vs. pitcher matchups for every player vs. that pitcher. Hope that helps.

Grady- Appreciate the words...plenty of other cappers better than myself around here, but thank you anyway. Best of luck.

Thanks! I would not have thought to check Yahoo, although I do use several of their products.

I wish you continued success in all your gambling endeavors.

Tuesday 10/22:
Giants -130
Angels/Giants Over 9 (+110)

Going back to the well. Ortiz has not looked good in his two postseason starts. The three ER's he allowed last game look pretty good, but he had men-on-base every inning and was bailed out by a couple of DP's and a pickoff. Ten hits, 96 pitches thrown and a poor strike to walk ratio in 5.1IP isn't exactly a quality start. Giants should hit him hard. Hernandez doesn't do it pretty, but the guy just wins in the postseason. Angels will hit him and score runs as well, though not to the degree I see Ortiz getting shelled. DH advantage out the window for Anaheim..I think that will have large implications. No more Fullmer over Shinjo or Dunston edge for the Angels, and instead of going from Kennedy to Eckstein from bottom to top, it's Ortiz for at least the first couple of AB's. Looking at a 7-5 type of game. Good luck!
