MLB system 2023

[Snafu]

moving this thread over here from Scrappy's thread.

this is a simple system i made for NHL and looks like it's working nicely with MLB too:

play ALL +money dogs from monday to thursday. No matter who play who etc, +money = play.

fri+sat+sun, play ALL favorites that play +money dog and favorite is max -200. no -220 plays etc. +money and favorite less than -200.

and that's it.

EDIT ADD: just looking at tuesday, my lean is for a lot of what your system would suggest.

This is interesting. So basically play dogs. Mon-Thursday. And faves. Fri-Sunday. And don’t lay more than -200 on faves. Gonna try to cherry pick these games. Thx.

so far this season (sunday) this system has picked 604 games. point is to make enough plays to get advantage with dogs/favs situation.

if you count profit / matches played % return is just 4.5%, it is not good. and to be clear, i don't cap individual matches or check who plays who, it doesn't matter with this system.

i just check odds and make plays.


i know it's a bit different approach than usual angle systems, but here we see season long results for this idea. don't get excited after a few good weeks, shitstorms will come at some point:0008

My QUESTION: If we're playing all the dogs M-Thur.. why aren't these on the list today? Pitt.. Ariz.. Cinn.. Nats.. LAD.. A's... ??? They're all dogs tonight again..?
I know Pitt/Az/Cinn/LAD all won last night... are we playing the dogs til they get a W in their series?? then quitting em? :shrug:

LOB - i should clarify. After reading about this system, I looked at tuesdays card and was surprised because 5 games i was going to play anyway sync’d up with his system.

my picks were in no way an official and likely not an appropriate application of the system.

you’ll see i also posted two “dissenting” plays which i liked that went against the system. Philly and STL.

Sorry if i confused anyone.

Sorry rockies were 1 of the 5 i concurred with. Played LAD instead (still a system play).

so of the games i liked anyway that were adjacent to system above, 5-1 Only loss was balt who lost in extras .

good stuff, i think i’ll be more inclined to follow my leans if within the system for the short term see how it does.

to purely play it i assume one has to play every qualifying game, im not going that far i fancy myself sufficiently good in mlb but every piece helps.
