Where it is real F ing COLD
I know you can get this information by going anywhere but I am sitting here at work bored and need to kill some time...

I am going to preview some teams I think I know and project their season start.. Everyone is welcome to give opinions and team previews

Going to start with the Twinkies. Man it was a dismal year and if you bet against them in August and September, you made bank. Finished the year 63 - 99 and won their last game in the bottom of the ninth celebrating like they won the World Series (happy to avoid a 100 season loss)

Starting Pitching.. Well Jason Marquis enters the rotation and Brian Dunsueng moves to the pen.

Carl Pavano.. He will eat up a bunch of innings, make a quick game, and pitch a gem or two but get rocked 5 or 6.. Knowing the home plate umpire could be key in games Pavano pitches. Pavano needs the corners as he pitches to contact and when they don't give him the corners, he pitches to a ton of contact.

Francisco Liriano.. A talented pitcher with poor work ethic. Pay attention to see if he comes in shape. Last year he was over weight and ignored the Twins off season workouts they wanted him to do. His stuff can be amazing but control can start to get him and then he snowballs into frustration..

Scott Baker.. Not overpowering.. Pitches to contact and relies on a sinker. Has trouble leaving it up but when he is on he is tough to hit cause he nails corners and changes speed. This guy is always hurt but if healthy he has the stuff to be a 15 game winner.

Jason Marquis.. He is a mixture of Pavano and Baker.

Nick Blackburn.. Flat out sucks at MLB level..

Bullpen, last year they let their pen guys go in Gurrier and Crain and they paid, These guys had to be close to the leaders in blowing 7th inning and beyond leads. Nathan was coming around but with age, salary, and ineffectiveness (Tommy John) two years ago they let him go. They gave Matt Capps $7 million.:scared WTF are they thinking? They bring back much of a horseshit bullpen as last year..:sadwave:

Offense/Defense

Goodbye to Cuddyer and Kuble, hello Willingham and Jamey Carroll. Last year this team was decimated by injury to Span, Kubel, mauer, and Morneau.

Mauer is a pussy, let's face it this guy has a constant vaginal ache.. I hate to knock on Minnesota's Golden Boy but this maybe one of the worst contracts out their. The guy has missed a bunch of games in his career and can't hit a homerun or many extra base hits andd he collects $25 million.

Justin Morneau - Everyone is always waiting for him to come back and Twins expect him to be opening day starter. The guy was on talk radio a couple weeks ago and says he still suffers from post concussion syndrome so I would bank that this guy doesn't play much.. What a shame for such a great hitter and all around great guy, He does a lot for the community.

Rest of team, they had a bunch of .200 hitters last year due to injury and due to talent over estimation. It doesn't matter what the rest of the team does if Mauer and Morneau don't play. This team lacks power but should have decent speed.

They open in Baltimore then come home to a murderous April schedule. LAA, Texas, Bos, NYY, TB..

THis team is in big trouble and if Morneau is done then it is BIG BIG trouble. This year they accomplish the 100 loss season.

62 - 100.. What a time to be a Minnesota sports fan.
