was a rollercoaster w/an extremely ugly finish when ya can't get Eagles to stay within 15 pts of a div rival

tonight...

Pats have had easiest schedule in the league so far...
Brady's stayed a season too long (in my eyes).. and his receivers are banged up tonite (deep threat OUT)...
but Pats do have the "D"...

Sam energized the Jets and fans last wk thumping the Cowboys...
I heard Jets have covered 5 of L6 at home vs the Pats...
MNF national attention, home underdog getting 10 (I bought to 10.5)...

call me cray cray..
but I think Jets money line has a legit shot too!

I'm not crazy about the total though...
In what should/could be a Patriots effort to grind out a 'W' w/lots of running and defense (w/lots of injuries at rec)... there's value on "under".. I might just tease the total..

J-E-T-S!
Game +10.5 (****)
Half +6 (***)

PROPS
Bell OV 4.5 recptns
Crowder OV 4.5 recptns
Brady UN 285.5 yds passing
Jets tm total OV 14.5 (-135)

Lost almost every play I made tonight ... it's not easy, but I made it look easy.

seriously, losing is one thing, getting doors blown off is another...

I know in the NFL, teams are never as good/bad as they look...

I don't think the Pats are the best I've seen... and I know they're banged up.. just my opine.

I DO think Belichik is the best coach I've ever seen... because he MAKES PLAYERS PLAY SMART!!
If they don't play smart, they don't get to stay on his team... what a concept!
Add to that his defensive game plans and teaching skills... he WINS.. period.

A great coach gets the best out of the talent he's got to work with...
Belichik takes no-name offensive and defensive linemen.. and turns them into winners..
They rarely commit penalties, they do it like it's drawn up on the chalkboard..
When people block the way they're supposed to.. Brady hardly EVER gets touched... and most plays work.. yardage and 1st downs are gained... points are scored...

He's got a fantastic eye for talent... defensive backs are crucial in his plan of blitzing, the ability to cover man-to-man... and when the QB gets rattled (like Darnold did tonight!), makes terrible, weak throws...
EASY INTERCEPTIONS... team success!

but tonight, I thought we were going to get the Darnold we saw last wk... and we did not.

Darnold was about as big a Jekyll/Hyde from last week to this week as I've ever seen in my life.
seriously...
Last wk against Dallas, he played w/confidence, displayed leadership... assertive.. threw like he knew what he was doing!
Tonight... scared, confused.. looked completely lost at times.. panic in his body language.. and he couldn't shake it off.

QB in the NFL isn't easy, but Darnold looked about as bad as I've ever seen tonight.

I believe he WILL develop into a very good professional QB, maybe an all-star.. but he better learn from tonight, and realize you've gotta play with grit.. just like Steve Young said at halftime.. make sure your teammates KNOW that you're going to give it your all out there.. you're gonna fight!
L-E-A-D!! Best football leaders lead by example... physically and mentally.. ya gotta put the effort EVERY wk Sam.

I thought after last week, he'd taken that step.

I WAS WRONG...

Its alot easier when the jets offensive line had 2 backups in and had to shuffle positions. Playing a different position on the other side against the patriot defense Darnold had no chance. It was clear the linemen were confused and 1 step slower.
