For better or worse I've basically thrown out the ATS numbers when capping MNF. So far this year, the points have come into play 1 time out of 12 games (2 weeks ago, when Chicago covered against St. Louis). Whatever the reason, these games usually just end up being blowouts. I capped this game with Oakland winning by 3 but I just can't bring myself to bet the Jets when I'm convinced that Oakland will win the game. With both teams being so hot, I think the important question to ask is which team is playing over their head and which team is really as good as they've played recently. Hmmm, Jets have a young QB and an admittedly not 100% Martin (who has still rushed for consecutive 100 yard games), while the Raiders have Gannon, Rice, Garner, Brown, and a good but banged up D. Think Jets more fit the mold of pretenders. Don't see the Jets holding the Raiders to under 21 and don't see the Jets being able to get into a shootout with the Raiders. Therefore, even though I've got the game capped at Raiders by 3, I'm also bucking my numbers and going with
Oak -6
Over looks good too.
