I been looking at this game and here are some interesting numbers:

Over the last 6 weeks (since the NYJ bye week Oct. 20)
NYJ Oak
ATS 5-1 3-3
SU 5-1 3-3
Pts for 26.7 25.5
Opp Pts. 13.5 20.0
FD for 20.5 22.8
FD opp 16.5 21.5
Rush Off 127.1 85.3
Rush Def 80.1 119.0

Over the last six weeks the J-E-T-S, have:

- rushed for 47 ypg more than their opp
- Outscored opp almost 2:1
- Held opponents to 13.5 ppg,
- gained 4 more first down per game

Yes, Da Raiders have outscored & out first downed there opponents, but not in nearly the fashion the Jets have.

For the last 4-5 yrs the Jets have always been a great Away dog 25-8-1 (20-14 SU) since week 1 of 1998. Oakland is 13-16-1 (19-11 SU) since week 1 of 1998 as a Home fav of 3 or more.

Based on the number above, the J-E-T-S at worst should be a 3-4 point dog, getting 6 - 6.5 is an added bonus. Unless the Jets turn the ball over 3-4 times, they should win this game straight-up.
However, Oakland plays great on MNF & with SD at 8-4 this is a must win for Oakland. I see a tight game, 24-21 NYJ.

Even if I am wrong, I have a 6.5 point cushion. Isn't that the name of game - get value.

6 units on the J-E-T-S
1 unit on the under
1/2 unit on a NYJ/under 2 team parlay!
1 unit parlay on NYJ & under 48

This is my strongest Monday nite play since GB +1 at Bears, earlier this year.

Good luck to all! Let's beat the man!

J-E-T-S!!! J-E-T-S!!

J-E-T-S!!! J-E-T-S!!

Congratulations to all NYJ backers! didn't think that extra half point would matter, but I'm glad I waited until just before kickoff to get the extra hook!

Nice 9.6 unit nite!

A couple of things about this game I did not realize, to remember for future reference:

- Chad Morton is one hell of a kick returner!
- The NYJ are a very well coached, disciplined team.
- Oakland will be very tough to beat in the playoffs if they get home field advantage.
- Oakland year after year shoots themselves in the foot with penalties.
- The Jets are a very solid underdog year after year.

IMHO Oakland passes the ball too much! I think they should give Garner the rock more. Also, Oakland does not have alot of downfield speed when only Rice & Brown in at WR.

The Woodsons (Rod & Charles) are hellacious DB's.

Again congrats to all NYJ & under bettors! Let's keep kicking the man's ass!

Good luck to all!

Oops!

Oops!

Just realized confusing parlay bet. Sorry for the error.

Actually ended up playing the following:

6 units on NYJ +6.5
2 units on Under
1 unit on NYJ+6.5/under 47.5

Actually won 10.6 units, but only put up 9.6 since I had typed 1 unit on the under in original thread.

Good luck to all!
