if sandiego holds on to win,

i am going to pound pittsburgh...

they are in their hotels right now loving life...

if balty loses, along with houston losing, pittsburgh controls their own destiny...

they will have to beat SF, STLOUIS, CLEVELAND

and if they do, they will control the #1 seed and homefield throughout the playoffs..

if sandiego wins,

i will be makin PITT ML the biggest wager of year thus far....

PITT WILL NOT LET DOWN JUST CAUSE THEY TRAVELED TO WEST COAST

The 49ers will be playing hard tomorrow as well as they are trying to get the 2nd seed in the NFC. I think the Niners D will be all over a limping Ben.

totally agree....niners need it as well..

but i think a motivated niners team is far inferior talent wise then a motivated steelers team...with or without ben at 100%

two teams that both need the win...

i think steelers need it much more...

and are much more battle tested for games like this...and much more talent on both sides of the ball...

obviously the road aspect scares me, but steelers are sleeping good in their hotels right now as we speak, and they travel well in any part of the country, so i think they will be right at home tommorow night in SANFRAN

hey addict im new to the forum but thought id just throw my two cents in about football and your logic on the monday night game. i know you said you feel that a charger win will get pitt to play an inspired kind of game but i think your logic is a little misguided.. logically it doesn't make sense that if a team wants to win a game they just somehow play better, ie complete more passes make more blocks etc etc.. i think there is more to be said for teams that aren't showing up fully to the game and you might be able to squeak out some sort of an edge if you were actually prudent at determining such a trend. teams who need wins and teams who play hard dont play better, its a common misconception.. u literally cant play better than your capable of playing just because you want it more.. but a team can play sub optimally if they dont have their focus dialed in or their hearts in it.. . Let me explain: if u tried your hardest to jump as high as possible and you measured it over and over you would get a result that would very only slightly.. but if you jumped and you had no reason to reach deep down and really give it your best i would say then maybe you might get a result different then your normal highest jump average(SOMETHING LESS).. im really rambling but im trying to say dont think that just because a team needs a win they will come out playing harder which somehow correlates to better. there are instances when teams dont try and are playing sub optimally and that would be a time to bet the other way but again determining that mindset is very tough info to find

with all that said i have very little opinion on the game except that its going to be tough for both teams to beat each other.. they should be both equally in it and should be quite a ball game ..

Respectfully disagree.....motivation and adreniline play a huge part in what player shows up that night physically....huge part....believe me....in college I was a much different player when it was zero degrees for a 1200 o'clock game compared to 70 degrees for a 400 o'clock game.....its no different for the pros...I would like to say they r all professionals and they all give it their all every play...but that's not the case...ask the packers...players simply play better when they are motivated and have more to play for....I am not saying it makes them catch more balls out of some crazy luck....but if they r running better routes and running 100% effort? Well then yes they r going to catch more balls...the pros even refrence it themselves in interviews....when the game has more meaning They attack it much differently...fro. the gameplan to the execution...

Now I am not sayin the steelers are a lock because of this or are going to blow them out cause they are excited....what I am saying is I am from the area and watch all the steelers games.....when you have a motivated and inspired steelers team...its often times hazardous to the wallet to bet against them......

And I'm still not sure but doesn't adreniline physically make u jump higher run faster all that stuff? Honest question....like I said that's not what I mean tho...I simply mean that players don't give it their all every 60 minutes of games....in cases like this...u get that....

On the Steelers with ya tonight. Took them plus the fg. Just hope Ben shows up healthy enough to play. Hell, he even plays great when he doesn't have both wheels. :director: GO STEELERS :0074

even if the steelers come back and win this game,

i will sit here and say i was totally wrong about the niners.

regardless of outccome,

wow niners are much better then i thought...havent seen em much, but wasnt impressed with what i had seen/heard. sittin and watchin a whole game against a championship caliber team, i am impressed...

niners fan needed a year like this...just like the broncos needed tebow...and the lions needed stafford....and the bengals needed dalton...

when the fuck will the dolphins get what we need
