nothing better than opening day
lets hope the bankroll agrees with me

2005 season: 1-0 + $300
yesterday: 1-0 +300

3 games jumped out at me. another one i like but the voice in my head says stay away. if i hit 2 of the early ones ill play the later one.

Pirates send their best young pitcher in years to open at home. He was a stud the 2h of last year and would have had a better record if he got run support. Pirates line-up matches well against the brewers young gun Sheets. Ben sports a 4-7 lifetime record against the stargells. Have to take the home favorite at a reasonable price.

Mets send their multi million dollar investment to the hill against the reds. First time seeing the midget martinez for many reds hitters. I'd like this game more if it was a month into the season, because Pedro has been starting slow lately. Actually been getting rocked in the first month last few years. Can't lay the -150 on him, will give the -1 -120 a shot.

Washington Expos Nationals Dominicans or whatever they are called. Mr. Hernandez gets the road start against the Phils. Wonder if Bowa will be watching? Guzman, Vidro, and Castilla all have had much success against Lieber. If Castilla can handle Thome he can handle the Phils. Big if, but i'll take a shot.

like the cubs later, but that's the game that my brain says no to. If i hit early will play it if not, pass til tomorrow

381/300 Pitt (perez/sheets) -127
242/200 Mets (martinez/wilson) -1 -121
200/244 Wash (hernandez/leiber) +122

real quick, umpire info the first few weeks of the season is pretty much irrelevant. if you don't believe me go look at all the umps and their numbers. if a guy goes mainly unders one year, the next he might switch up an go for overs and so on. these guys turn on a dime too. see how they pan out over the first month. very few umps stay consistent their entire career.
