Here's the rest of what I show today and a comment on Vandy.

Duq -22
Fla Int + 14
Ill St - 6'

What I learned about Vandy at St Mary's was what I already knew. They can beat anyone but Stallings believes in subbing by the clock and is an advacant of the platoon system. Because of that they can lose to anyone. They came out in the second half and Taylor and Walker took over and by the 10 min mark they had a 14 point lead. Next thing I know is that both are on the bench and we have a 4 point lead. If the buzzer beater had gone in, we lose. Vandy should have won that game by 20 something. Only 3 players got over 22 min. Walker who was 6 of 8, with 3 steals, and only 1 turnover was sitting on the bench for half the game. Now don't get me wrong, Stallings is a pretty good coach. Great recruiter, great teacher, but a member of the Dean Smith school of coaching. Dean, who had the best talent in the country for 20 years only had won 1 championship until his last season. In my opinion that was the best coaching he ever did. Most people don't realize he reverted to the Wooden, Rupp, McQuire philosphy. Play your 5 best players all they can play. Smith went thru the tourn playing mostly 7 players and won his second championship with less talent than he had on most of his teams. That reminds me of an old joke in the NBA. Who held Jordan to a 15 point average for a season. The answer was Dean Smith. I'll be on Vandy this afternoon but not as strong as I would like to go. They will be up by 10 sometime in the game but that don't mean they will win.

Good luck everyone
