Very small card with all the postponed games, going with 3......
Dodgers ML-170x2.5 (Brown)
DBacks/Dodgers Over7-115 x2 (Dessens/Brown)
Brewers/Pirates Over8.5-115 x2 (Rusch/Wells)
Really like the Dodgers, but since it's the 1st game of the series where it's hard to get reliable ump info, I will leave it at x2.5.
DBacks are 1-5 so far this season, including a 4 game losing streak after being swept out of Colorado. Their offense is just woeful, batting .210 and have only 1-HR. They have scored 12 runs in 1st 6 games of the season, had 11 baserunners thrown out in those games. Want more?? How about 0.118 with RISP (4 for 34) and 0.071 (1 for 14) with RISP with two outs. Carlos Baerga and Randy Johnson are leading the team in BA
. In the Rocks series alone, they could only muster a total of 7 runs off of Chacon, Jennings, and Oliver.
Kevin Brown continues his charge, coming back from repeated elbow surgeries, beat Ari last week in Ari 5-0, allowing just 3 hits in 6 innings. Browny is 4-1 with a 1.93 ERA in 16 career appearances vs Ari. Dessens is 1-2 with a 5.27 ERA lifetime against LA. DBacks starters have a combined BA of below .230 lifetime in LA.
Here are the Dodgers BA lifetime vs Dessens,
Paul Lo Duca .500
Shawn Green .364
Todd Hundley .333
Fred McGriff .333
Adrian Beltre .300
Cesar Izturis .286
Brian Jordan .286
Dave Roberts .250
Daryle Ward .250
Alex Cora .167
LA had won 4 straight home openers until last yr, when Browny (still nursing a sore elbow) started vs SF last yr and lost 2-9. A little extra incentive for Browny to redeem himself this afternoon. BTW Browny was quoted as saying this is the best he's felt physically in 10 yrs, and he's proving that on the mound so far. Although he said that last yr, too:shrug:
Time go work on NHL Playoffs
. GOOD LUCK, EVERYONE!!!!!!
