Montreal -.5 (-115): I'll be in a private box at the Bell Center to see the Habs 1st line have a big night (Koivu, Zednik & Hossa)! The Flames are struggling.
Columbus +.5 (+110): Columbus is hot and, unless Salo brings a big performance, will remain unbeaten with MacLean behind the bench. Salo is the key as I don't think the Oils will muster alot of offense tonight.
Washington -.5 (-110): Great game in perspective! Two hot teams going into this one although Washington has excuded lots of confidence lately which gives them the edge in my book.
Boston -.5 (-160): The B's should get a lift after a 6-2 win over the undermanned Leafs. They got rid of Grahame, which is a good move for them and frees up the #1 spot for Shields, who, in my opinion is a potential #1 with them. But I've heard DiPietro's name and Hackett's name mentioned in a possible trade for McLaren, although like the column said, Milbury is not likely to accept a trade for his very expensive pick in DiPietro and Montreal and Boston trade once every century!
New Jersey -.5 (-165): Florida will be down low for a while after getting schlacked with 12 goals last game. Their owner cried out and is giving the Caps a hard time, accusing them of running up the score. If you look at the stats (which he should of done before his allegations) there is no way in hell that his arguments stand up. On the Devils side, one word: Brodeur.
Pittsburgh - Boston UNDER 5.5 goals (+100): This year, there has been many goaltenders participating in their 1st career games. By memory, more than 75% of them have had great starts and gave up few goals. My bet is that the GAA of these goalies is under 2.00. No time to check it out though. Back to the game, Shields should have a good performance as well as Caron, in a matchup with lots of good scorers missing.
Columbus (+165): I really like Columbus so I will risk another unit on the moneyline.
I also took Denver +11.5 in basketball; they are playing well lately.
Good luck to all of you for tonight!
