Most of us know the story. TB went thru their BP last nite (about 8 pitchers in last 8 innings), 15 innings played, downer of a loss to Bosox at home. Young pitcher being called up again (3rd time, I think), just the sort of one who will not finish the game, just the sort of one the Yankee lineup will work the count on to hit and/or get to the questionable bullpen.

Yes, AJ makes my stomach queezy, and he has not done overly well vs the Drays lately. But he'll do. :0corn

Been doodling some #'s on Halladay.

His overall record is 11-3.
AH he is 6-1.
OTR he is 5-2.

When he starts the Phillies:

Have an overall record of 16-3.
AH they are 10-1.
OTR they are 6-2.

I know he has not done well against the Cubs in a small set of games that does not even deserve to be called a sample. Holy hell, the # of games he loses could be called an accident instead of a sample.

Any want to suggest that he may start to "regress to the mean"? :mj07:

I know there are lots and lots of stats to look at an analyze, era, whip, blip, mip and flip.

I guess what I am really saying is that giving odds of -200 is a very good proposition at least AH and pretty much break even OTR - so far. Phillies are 6-2 OTR when he starts so far, and the hitters were in the crapper for much of that.

So I am going to sack up and lay the $$$. Just don't see the big advantage in laying (-1) (-164).

Phillies/Doc (-200) 200.00 ----> 100.00
