That was my pick in the consensus.

RJ missed his last start because of back problems. He could be awesome; he could be gone in the first, but I think it's as good a time as any to fade him, especially getting +320.

Fogg's been decent, too, though I think he had trouble in his last outing.

I think Maddux was sharp in his first start back from injury, and shaky in his second. If RJ dominates today, I think I'll look to fade him his next start, too.

johnson wasnot hurt he was just stiff a very big difference he would of throwen this weekend but they didnot want to break rotation, thats why he is going today.

piit of all hit from the left side brown is a switch who is better from the left side and infield has 2 switch hitter both better from the lf side, imo you would be wasting your money by taking pitt just because you are getting a big +.

johnson has thrown everyday since he was scratched and had no problem, sometimes a pitcher is just stiff and when that happens to your aces then you just don't take the chance of letting him pull something. you can be stiff from sleeping wrong turning around to fast or at a odd angle,it takes about 12 hours or so to lose because you get a knot somewhere in the muscle that is stiff and if you pitch or play then you can get a tear, but it was far from an injury and not like coming off dl list for 15 days.

good luck

I for one.... never bet against a big favorite when the 1 and 1/2 run rule is not in effect. My local does not lower the line and grant the run and a half either way.........just gives the big money line number.

I see Johnson getting pulled tonight after 5 or 6 innings if he makes it that far...........it is worth putting in a parlay but not as a straight bet.

I like Arizona !!

Although Johnson is 6-0 and the Pirates are not hitting all that well ... I think Fogg can keep them close as the D'Backs aren't the best hitting team in the league either. I just think it's very risky to lay -320 or so with any bullpen these days if you think the game could be close. If Johnson can go at least 8 though, I like Kim but I think Pitt could hang in this one. I know I will NOT be wagering on the D'Backs but I am still trying to decide whether or not I want to throw something out on Pitt or the under.

Pittsburgh
Johnson could throw righty and get these guys out.But putting up 360 is very risky with his bad back.

Pitt and St Lou both nice dogs. If you like Arz then you should like under. I guess even if you like Pitt it still looks under. Big Mack you should be all over your Cards tonight.

Guys......I think Johnson would be a good fade tonight against any team but the Pirates. Johnson is not injured, he was just held back because of a back strain. If it was a major concern, the D-backs wouldn't throw him out there. Pittsburgh doesn't match up well againt him at all. Pirates have no power (only the Royals have hit less homers) and are hitting .215 as a team vs LHP, including just .141 L10. Arguably, the Pirates best 2 hitters (Giles and Rios) both hit from the left side and chances are they won't even play. Even if they do, they are a combined 0-17 against him. Aramis Ramirez is injured and most likely won't play. Kevin Young has had a bit of success vs Johnson, but I watched him the last 3 games vs San Diego and he has absolutely no bat speed (which is probably why he's hitting .173 with only 6 extra-base hits).

I'm not suggesting that you lay -300+ with AZ tonight but I don't see any rationale to back Pittsburgh either. The under is probably a better play.
