Quite a few plays for a small card, but I like what I'm seeing with these lines so I'm going for it. Today?s plays:
Notre Dame -2.5 for 3 units - LOSS ? What conference besides the Big East would you see a team that is 3-4 favored over a 6-0 squad? Odd but that?s just how the conference is this year. Irish on a slide but I think that ends tonight. They did not shoot well on Saturday against UConn and that just won?t happen two games in a row at the Joyce Center. Marquette has been racking up the wins, but they haven?t been playing complete games and that will hurt them against a ND team hunger for a win. Guard play is pretty even between the two squads (perhaps a slight edge to Marquette), so I think the difference will be in the front court in my mind. Despite the battles between Harangody and Hayward being pretty even in the meetings last year, I see Harangody clearly winning the battle tonight. ND gets off the schnide with a win and cover tonight.
Marquette/ND Under 158.5 for 3 units - WIN ? both teams can play at a pretty good clip, especially against each other as the last 5 meetings have gone Over. However, the Monday Big East trend and the fact neither team has a deep bench will come into play.
Arkon -4.5 for 3 units - WIN ? should be able to handle Youngstown on the road for an easy non-conference win.
Oklahoma -3 for 4 units - WIN ? Sooners are playing some inspired ball since their lost to Arkansas. Games in the bedlam series are typically close and hard fought, but Oklahoma?s frontcourt with the Griffins? will just be too much for an undersized Oklahoma State club.
Oklahoma/Okie State Under 156 for 5 units - LOSS ? Both teams average 80+ points per game, but the pace of games in this series are no where near that level. Definitely going to see a pace closer to when these schools play A&M than when they play Baylor. Some defense and hard knocks in this one tonight.
GL guys.
