monday's blindfolded dart throws:
1 unit.....new york (-170) over minnesota
1 unit.....cleveland (+155) over chicago
cut and paste write up from friday, saturday, and sunday regarding the twins/yanks. because it still applies here today. twins just dont believe they can beat the yanks right now imo. and yanks can do no wrong vs minnesota. twins went into saturday averaging an anemic two runs per game vs the yanks this year. and they put up their average on saturday. and followed it up on sunday with another 2 run effort. wells dominated the twins in the bronx two weeks ago. for a team struggling to score, wells probably isnt the ideal opposing hurler. yanks have been a cash cow in this series for me. no reason to buck em in the 4th game even though most are of the belief that its tough to sweep 4 from a good team.
i cant believe these words are coming out of my mouth, but jake westbrook is the indians best pitcher right now. this kid has been lights out in his 3 appearances this year (2 starts). when he gets his sinker working, he gets a TON of ground balls and hitters repeatedly beat the ball into the ground. and right now- he's just a hot pitcher. certainly not expecting a shutout from him, but hitters arent getting good swings on him so far this year. maybe he's due to get torched- we'll see, but even more reason to consider the tribe would be that garland is throwing for the sox. garland has offered himself up as a personal pinata for the indians the last few years (1-6 6.59 era lifetime vs cle) and the tribe already dropped a 5-spot on him a couple weeks ago. tribe not gonna have success vs a lot of pitchers this year- but garland is a pitcher they like facing.
