monday baseball...

was so hungover yesterday i didnt get a play in....and of course i would have went like 5-2 with what i liked...figures..

1.) MONTREAL/PITT under 9.....Vargas is solid this year at home...Pitt is a hard team to get a grasp on ..so is Suppan....but this isnt the cleveland bullpen....hopefully suppan stays in for a quality start because Pitts bullpen has blown games open ...and montreals line-up leaves a lot to be desired hitting wise right now...

2.) Oakland/texas under 10....think your asking A's to score around 8 runs hear for this total to go over 10...this kid MOUNCE has had two starts this year...at home he got rocked by Florida which is a concern....because oakland could do the same to him....but in his second game vs the A's he pitched well...im hoping the last start vs oakland was something to build on....TEXAS is absolutely horrible vs lefties this year and going against one of the best in ZITO...

3.) tampa bay plus 1.5..plus 115....

as i stated with this pitching matchup last week...Zambrano is coming into his own...he has been solid lately....the problem of course is that he seems to be more comforatble away rather than at home...and clemens has better numbers away than home....tempted to play tampa straight up but this is still tampa and sometimes they relapse and find ways to lose games in the late innings....i'll take the insurance with the 1.5 at plus money because im not totally convinced Zambrano can shut them down 2 starts in a row

4.) zona minus 135...

WeBB has been real good at home this year....and he can get out of jams with strikeouts which i like to see....Villone pitched shut out ball against this team in his last start but looking at his numbers at Bank One and head to head with some of the players in this line-up i would not be surprised to see him chased early....2 starts at zona he has given up 14 runs in 9 innings pitched ....

Cooz, FWIW, Mr "Big Home Fav" Barksdale is behind the plate tonite at Fenway, he's like 11-1 with home favs over 185. I'm looking at parlaying Bos with Oak tonite.

hmm ..interesting DUBS...WAKEFIELD sacres me though....this guy either has it or doesnt.....some of the Detroit players have actually hit him pretty well....BONDERMAN has never faced the sox ....and i doubt he has faced a line-up that one-nine is as potent as these hitters....the problem of course is that Bostons bats seem to have cooled off a little....coming home might be what they need to cure thier problems....


what i have noticed the last say...2 0r 3 weeks is that Detroit is playing better ball....they are getting some good starting pitching....they simply cannot hit....thier Bullpen is better than Boston's right now....IMAGINE THAT!!!!!.....if by chance Bonderman actually can hold them to say 2 or 3 runs....this team may actually have a shot tonight....a long one at that ...but the bullpen for Boston is so inconsistent i cant justify laying any juice over 150 on them....

a parlay of course takes care of the juice factor so i agree DUBS ...if Boston is your play you have to parlay them with someone.....i dont think the Yanks are the way to go either as i think Tampa has a legit shot tonight..think OAKLAND is the team to parlay with

all in all....BOSTON is a far superior team offensively....there is no argument to be made thier....if WaKE struggles and you will know by the 2nd inning they could be in trouble....he has been walking quite a few guys lately...

i like your parlay though...LOL....just playing a little devils advocate here....

statistics show one of these big dogs will come through tonight out of the three....detroit and tampa have the best shots in my opinion...
