Small card today, but I am going to go back to the well one more time:

TORONTO BLUE JAYS +115 - I am just going to keep riding this wave. The Jays are playing much better ball right now, thanks to some timely hitting, but also to some more consistent efforts from their starters. Hentgen is still a concern, and needs to step it up a notch tonight like the other members of the staff have managed. I like seeing Brian Anderson again for the Royals, as he gave up 11 hits and 6 ER on Wednesday night in the Skydome.

Well, better get my nose to the grind here.......

DJ - This line sort of buffaloed me? Especially with Anderson on the mound for Royals. :shrug: Then again, Hentgen hasn't looked to sporty himself, so hopefully he steps it up a notch tonight.

Sharky I have been making good money on the Jays lately with their improved play but the fact that Anderson got killed last week versus Toronto is what makes me scared to play the Jays this time around. It is games like this that pitchers miraculously pull a good performance from their ass. I hope you win and the Jays stay hot. I will be on them later in this series!

Hopefully they can pull it off. I agree with your thinking OnaJ, but the Royals hit Hentgen pretty hard last start too, and here is just another interesting tidbit I heard on the FAN (Toronto sports radio station) at lunch.....I only caught the end of it, but Hentgen caught wind of the fact that one the Royals anonymously told the KC press that hitting Hentgen last week in Toronto was like being back in AA again or AAA at worse. :nono: Hentgen sounded pizzed, so hopefully this lights a flame under his arse for tonight. :shrug:

DJ - I hate to harp on this, but you shoulda heard Hentgen on the radio.....He was calling out anyone who "had the bawls to be man enough to 'fess up to who was calling him a minor leaguer". It was borderline comical.......It's also a lot easier to pitch when you're spotted a big lead (don't ask Mike Maroth Saturday night), but Hentgen does have some good stuff tonight. Not a good betting option tomorrow night, but as a homer, we've got Hentgen on the mound.
[We're already looking at heading into the city on Sunday afternoon.....matchup looks like Doc vs. Pedro. ]
