Spits, thanks for the input and the correction:). You really ought to be posting more here. Hopefully next season you'll be a permanent fixture here;) . I only watched a few games that Spezza played in, and really was impressed with the way he played. I remember when they played the Kings, I think maybe in Nov, when he sliced thru our D like a hot knife thru butter and caused all kinds of havoc. Then another game I think vs BJ's where he had a goal and a couple of assists (something like that) on PP that really opened my eyes. Regardless, definitely agree with you that he should have been on the roster long before G5. The Sens's future sure is bright with all these young talents they have. I hope this Gleason kid we got for Smokes is as good as advertised, I think it was you who said he's more highly regarded than Spezza in Windsor. Seems like there's a lot of talents playing for the Spitfires.

Horny, congrats on the Sens win. Would have asked you about Spezza earlier, but found out on Slamsports late in the afternoon. IMHO, Martin really should sit Smokes's ass down. I know that's not gonna happen, since he's got 80 some games of playoff experience, but he's pulling his playoff Houdini act again. We Kings fans know all about his history of playoff futilities:nono:  .

Poo, I'll save the KY for later. Hopefully wayyyyyy later:D

BTW, sounds like all 4 of us have some coinage on Ott to win the series. Any thoughts on hedging some of it in G6?? NJ is 8-0 is series when they're up 3-1, and has great record in closing out series at home. I'm trying to finish the season on a strong note and bet with my head. Would love to hear some thoughts from everyone:)

Good luck, guys:D

ddubs,

Hedging would probably make sense, but I'm just gonna ride out the Sens and see if they can make the unlikely comeback. I figure this is as good a time as any to show why they won the Presidents' Trophy this season.

As for Gleason, I love the kid, but still believe he is a couple of years away. Now he has some definite wheels!!!! Should be a solid top-4 blueline for many years in the league. Just has to learn to limit his mental mistakes. He has traded some of his speed to add some bulk and more punch to his physical play.
