Colon is gonna be very tough. He usually is coming off a poor outing, esp one where he got outpitched in a complete game.
Not a tall order for him to accomplish monday, as he's already faced his former team twice this season, tossing two quality starts----he likes these sort of showcases. Plus, for the three seasons before this one his team went 11-4 in his road day starts, 3.54 era. And that away/day record is holding up this season too.
Koch threw 21 pitches Sunday, so he's not fresh, but the fact he blew the save should more than make up for any tired arm if they use him monday.
so I like CWS here to avoid sweep, but not the juice. Almost took the runline, but the Sox play of late doesn't impress me enuf to. Thought of parlay CWS with under at SF...
Not sure which Anderson will show up for Cleve, not a predictable fellow like Colon! And Cleve playing well now. So no opinion on the total. All five Colon road starts this season have gone under.
from official sites:
This current White Sox roster has hit Anderson at a .367 clip during his career, but nobody has done more damage than D'Angelo Jimenez. The White Sox second baseman has 10 hits in 17 at-bats against Anderson, including two doubles and four RBIs. Frank Thomas is 7-for-14 against Anderson, with two home runs and five RBIs. The slumping Paul Konerko is 5-for-11 against the Cleveland left-hander.
How's the weather: After a nippy Sunday at The Jake, the forecast for Monday calls for sunny skies and higher temperatures. The chance of rain is zero, and winds should be no factor. Still, a sweater or sweatshirt will be the fashion of the day. Spring or not, the high will be more like early fall -- 65 degrees or so.
