The NHL suspended Maple Leafs defenseman Jyrki Lumme for two games Monday for cross-checking Buffalo's J.P. Dumont Saturday, according to the Sports Network. He will be eligible to play again on Saturday.

The Leafs recalled Karel Pilar from St. John's on Sunday.
* Corey Schwab is expected to start at least the next two games for the Leafs; tonight, and Wednesday in Detroit. This leaves open the possibility for Sebastain Centomo, a Montreal native, to make his debut at the Molson Centre on Saturday.
