Should be able to get the early lead and this horse has never lost sprinting. Moving up in class from a NW1X to a NW2X so that should help the price a bit. Good trainer in Smith Sr. Late scratch of morning line favorite doesn't hurt. Medievalist is listed at 6-1 in the program, but I suspect he will be half that price.

I was very disappointed. I thought the winner could beat him, but I didn't think Medievalist would get beaten out of the gate. Still, $6 place payoff isn't bad; especially when the favorite wins.

Glad to hear it. I saw the horse was 6-1 or throughout the betting and came down to 4-1 or so real late. The place payoff was an overlay.
