I'll be watching , for sure!!

yup, Roy is a money goalie. He can really step up his game when he has to. But LA sure does get to him, they got scoring depth Avs don't have....but game in Colo now, but LA has won 2 of last five there this year....

how about Mtl +1.5 -297 parlay with LA +1.5 -190 for a safe bet? one unit pays 1.04 (canbet)?

good luck with your pics!

I'd be stupid to dispute the fact that Roy is the greatest playoff goalie in the history of NHL, and the line at -200 definitely back that up. But Potvin is not too shabby, either. He has a career record of 10-5 facing elimination in the playoffs and a quick comparison of the 2 goalies in game 7 of the playoffs.......

Roy 4-4, 2.43, .909, no SO
Potvin 3-3, 3.02, .898, 1 SO

The key, I believe, will be the status of Forsberg, because both goalies will show up with their "A" game. Avs did not look the same at all without him in game 6, even though Forsberg was never near 100% at any time in the series. They looked like they were just buying time and waiting for the Sakic line to produce and get them in the game. Perhaps the Avs were deflated by the sudden announcement of Forsberg's status before the start of game 6, one could only guess. Having Forsberg to lead the 2nd line is going to wear out the Kings D eventually, who are short manned without Boucher and Deadmarsh.

Either way, this is gonna be one hell of a game. The Kings have the momentum, the Avs have home ice advantage and the savvy of being the defending champs. The history is against the Kings, but this year they believe they are at the same level as the champs as they split the season series and finally won a road game in hostile territory since March. If nothing else, the Kings believe they can beat Roy even at his best. Last year's game 7 was a close game until a late goal in the 2nd period that put the Avs up 2-1, and let the wind out of the Kings sail and the game ended 5-1. This year, the Kings have shown they can come back from 1 or even 2 goal deficit and win. There will be great skating, passing, crazy saves, tons of heavy hitting, and the Kings have a fighting chance (yes I'm a biased Kings fan) and this is what makes playoff hockey the best sport in the world.

GO KINGS!!

More on Avs

an interesting piece here from Denver Post about how Forsberg's return might not be all good.

http://www.denverpost.com/Stories/0,1413,36%7E84%7E576945%7E,00.html

and this from Woody Paige of the Denver Post:

"Patrick Roy is mad. And when P.R. is p.o.'d., the enemy is dust on ice. Roy was abused and made fun of in Game 6, and there was finger-pointing from the spectators. A specific finger was pointed. In the last game of the four playoff series last year, Roy allowed one, one, one and one goal. The Kings can expect one goal. (The Avalanche scored a total of 15 goals in those four playoff games.)"

I said i like Montreal tonight and i will stick to it but i have a feeling that Boston wins so...  The first goal of that game will give us a tempo of how it will go. So far, we can't say home team has been favor... Montreal stole last game (Theodore finally show up). Let's see how it has affected the Bruins...

Go Habs Go! :D

One prop i'm playing:

Thorton -125 over gilmour (most points)

Terryray, thanks about your info on the Av's
Yup, Roy is upset and i have no doubts Av wins tonight! :D

Let the biased Denver writers write whatever they want about how pissed Patrick Roy is, that is not going to prevent him from going down in flames tonight! Roy has looked a step slower all series, and tonight won't be any different! The only reason Roy pitched a shut out in game 4 is because the Kings did not produce any quality scoring chances. My hometown KINGS will send that traitor Blake and his boy Pattie packing tonight!

Wasn't Roy "UPSET", "PISSED OFF", "MAD" about that overtime goal by Craig Johnson in game 5? He sure backed that up with a strong showing in game 6. :D I do believe the Avs have the upper hand, but at -200? No way!!

In the other game, my heart says the Habs, but my head says the Bruins. So my money says "keep me in your wallet" :D

BTW, 1837. How's the new little one? Is it a boy or a girl? Belated congrats to you!! :toast:

Isn't that the same Woody Paige who wrote a column titled "The Kings are DEAD" and said the Avs take the series in 5 after the Avs went up 3-1 in the series?:nono: :D

Since you two seem to be hanging around the board right now....I only saw up to Montreal's PP goal and I just walked back in. How's about a brief recap of what I missed...has play been tight since then, who's controlled the play?

tx for any feedback

I would give first period to Boston but the second one belonged to Montreal. Habs have almost 3 min of advantage at 5 to 4 to start the third (Thornton 4 min for high sticking at the end of the second) and hopefully they'll score. Good game, good check, lots of intensity...:)
