2 units....butler (-10.5) over cleveland state
2 units....utah/byu under 128.5

even when rollie had good teams at csu (especially 2000 and 2001) he could never hang with butler. its the same story every game. come out of the gates with some intensity, keep it close and then all the sudden- BAM - butler hits them with a scoring spurt that stretches out the lead and it becomes academic after that. maybe rollie and the vikings have a trick up their sleeve and are gonna keep this one close- but i just dont see it. vikings have taken some inexplicable losses this season and have really quit when down. in years past - they had the scoring punch to be able to fight back from 12-14 down. this year- once the lead gets past 10 points, its basically curtains for csu. and with the way butler shoots the 3, it could reach double digits early and csu could fold. i cant even remember the last time i laid double digits on the road. probably my first time all year, but i gotta make an exception here. csu blew another game on saturday and allowed loyola to get out of town with a win. i dont see them in the right mindset to be prepared for butler

really seems like linesmaker is taking a stand on byu/utah total. the first meeting was 79-75, and utah is coming off recent games vs san diego state (76-62) and unlv (86-80, albeit in overtime) and the utes didnt really play their tempo of basketball. i gotta think majerus, even in a winning effort vs unlv - wasnt exactly thrilled with the defensive effort, especially at home. the one thing that jumps out at me and makes me feel like the under is the right side---- both teams have had one full week off to prepare for this rivalry rematch. defensive adjustments will be made from the first meeting, both teams will be completely fresh, and this one should be a defensive war from the opening tip. i feel like this one is gonna be played in the high 50's.

thanks redking.
always loved cleveland state's hoops logo.
too bad their team sucks. the logo is the only part of the program thats any good. the days of mouse mcfadden and csu pulling upsets in the ncaa tourney are a distant memory

felt great about the butler play...........until they went TEN minutes without scoring. what a strange game. up 50-40 and in complete control of the game with 11:00 to go. and then they score ONE field goal over the next 10:00. it figures rollie's team shows some balls when i bet against those clowns. but damn was butler inept in the final 10:00.

had a free ticket and center court seats. the free ticket ended up costing me 220 bucks since they pi$$ed away the chance at the cover, lol.

two objective observations:

1) brandon miller is so freaking good. for real, that kid is totally underrated, and just a great player for butler. he hit some b-o-m-b-s from long range in tonights game, and is so cool and in control with the ball in his hands

2) on the flip side, joel cornette is the biggest pu$$y ive ever seen. he was a complete non-factor, and totally shies away from any contact. stands on the perimeter like a little b1tch, then backs down and shoots fadeaways that have no chance of going in. total pu$$y.

i honestly have to give csu credit. butler worked them for most of the game, but they showed some nads and made a run to send it to overtime. butler was freakin inept over the final 10:00, but give csu credit.

smashmouth:

i just scrolled the posts on the forum. a lot of guys were cracking on butler for not covering. i know it should have been "easy", but sometimes, we just have to give our opposition credit.

being at the game, butler was doing WHATEVER THEY WANTED for the first 30:00 of the game. their offense was unstoppable. backdoor cuts, pick-and-rolls, dribble drives. butler was really focused and ready to play.

i just have to give csu credit. sometimes, the dog matches the intensity of the power team and shows some nutsack and hangs in there.

only thing that was surprising was butler getting a little rattled when csu made their run. csu draws like 1,000 people per home game this year- the lowest home attendance in the league. sure the fans got into it when csu made their run, but jeez- for a senior laden team to get flustered by 1,000 fans- that doesnt speak well for butler.

no real regrets about playing butler. they were on the fringe of busting it open. csu simply showed enough pride (surprisingly) to get it back into single digits.

csu should have won outright actually. missed 3 of 4 free throws in the final 0:30 of regulation. and even then, it required miller hitting a pull up jumper with 4/10ths of a second left in regulation to send it to OT
