BYU -7.5 over Texas ******
Hopefully don't lose this post again...BYU is a top offensive team that can score pts{ 4th avg 94pts} They have Haws one of the top players in the country avg 26 pts an 2 gds Carlino and Collinsworth who have 29 and 27 assists already...Mika at 6'10 comes back tonite and Austin at 6'11 might not score but can rebound and control the paint.BYU attacks the basket better then anyone in the country...drawing 20,43,30,34 FT's....they beat Stanford 112-102 and lost by 2 to Iowa St...
Texas is 4-0 and Barnes said yesterday " we played some pretty good teams so far". SF Austin,Mercer,So Bama,and powerhouse Houston Baptist...." get real..all those those games were at Erwin in ASustin...they have no outside shooting 2 sophs gds and a frosh and 2 wide bodies in Holmes and Ridlet,neither scorers...Texas lost top 4 starters last yr and have played all home games...BYU cannot play any defense and although on paper they are a top ranked rebounding team they are weak inside the paint..but with so many good gds and Haws one of the best in the country they should beat the Longhorns by 15-20.. Texas will score but not enough to play catchup.
