You do know that Radke is starting tonight right? :scared
He has been pretty bad against the Rangers.

Good luck though!

Spalding,

Yes, I did know that Radke is pitching tonight. He has been dreadful so far this season, so maybe he's due for a quality start tonight. The Rangers have lost three straight, and they're coming off a series against the Yankees. I don't like betting on a team that just played New York. There is always the possibility of a letdown. Also, the Rangers have overachieved so far this season, so I expect them to come back to earth real soon. Furthermore, Texas is one of the biggest public plays on the short card tonight. I'll take my chances with Minnesota and Radke. Best of luck to you!

GL today Wise. Nice job yesterday. You can throw away the binoculars now...the 10K is in clear sight.:)

Congrats also on being the leader in the Doggy Contest. You've not only proven which favs to play but also still have the knack to sniff out those doggies :mj23:

Spalding's question is troubling to me. Is Radke's high ERA against the Rangers really indicative of the Twins chances of winning tonight?

Radke's ERA over the last three years against the Rangers is high -- close to five. But if you break it down game by game you get a different picture.

In Radke's past ten starts against the Ranger's eight were "quality" starts.

IP Runs

6 1
7 2
8 0
7 2
7 4
7 2
5 3
8 3

The other two were disasters

2 5
2 6

The Twins were 6-4 in these ten Radke starts against the Rangers. Here we have a pitcher with 8 quality starts out of his last 10 against the Rangers and is +135 or so. Radke's past performance against the Rangers hardly seems a detterent to this play.

Am I wrong about this?

BTW, Radke tossed a gem (against Royals) his last outing: 7 innings, 4 hits, 1 run, 7 Ks and no BBs.

Minnesota could very easily be the play tonight. Seeing lots of Texas everywhere I look. Good Luck tonight and on your 10,000 goal.
