end of last week was pretty surreal. new week though.
monday 12/22/03:
1 unit.....tennessee tech (+14) over tennessee
always willing to look for live in-state dogs when they play their power conference big brother. tenn tech definitely qualifies as a live dog. the chalk volunteers are sitting at 5-1, but their schedule has been favorable to this point. only nebraska was a competitive opponent for the vols (and they lost by 15). to the vols credit, they have done some nice things this year. scooter mcfadgon (transfer from memphis) has been outstanding. but tennessee tech qualifies in all the areas i normally look for in a dog. theyve played respectable opponents (kentucky, vanderbilt, and a good e.tenn state team) and they have good leaders (crisp especially). they shoot free throws above 71% (4 of their top 6 are above 80%) and they are excellent from behind the arc (40% as a team). really feel like the eagles are a live dog here. tennessee has kinda been on cruise control to start the season with their mediocre schedule, and vols always seem to coast. tennessee tech is no pushover. should be a single-digit game
add: 1 unit portland (+7) over oregon
ytd:
3 unit....2-0 (+6.75 units)
2 unit....11-7 (+5.6 units)
1 unit....15-16 (-1.90 units)
