plays must be accompanied by this necessary caveat:
some of these dogs have been laying down in the 2h of gms lately and ive found a way to be on a lot of em :)

undeterred, im playing what i feel are two good spots tonight:

======================================
james madison (+9) over delaware (7:30pm)

======================================
outside of st.joes, delaware hasnt played anyone of
significance. jmu has definitely played a tougher
schedule to this point. both teams shoot the ball
fairly well but delaware turns the ball over a ton. hens
averaging almost 18 turnovers a game. thats not
conducive to winning, and i dont think they can cover
almost double digits with the way theyre handling the
basketball right now. the main guys in the jmu rotation
shoot the basketball well. i think the dukes keep this
one close
======================================
vegas (pk) over utah (12:00am midnight)
======================================
gonna be a matter of which teams establishes their
tempo. when unlv establishes their tempo, utah
struggles to keep pace. vegas smashed utah in the
mwc tourney last season on this floor and should have
won the regular season meeting in vegas as well. in fact,
unlv has always fared well against the utes in vegas.
unlv and pepperdine are very similar teams. i backed the
waves last week and im gonna back unlv tonight. athletic
teams give utah problems. utes have been mediocre on
the road and they struggle to score points away from
home. seems like the line on the vegas/utah game is
the same every....single.....year. unlv is always in a
pick situation of laying a point or point+half. rebs for me

Gman,
Agree with you on the JMU play, U of D shouldn't be giving anyone that many points, line should be closer to 5.

G, whats your take on the Marymount game against portland, was thinking about LM for a couple of units.

gman, I'm liking the Rebels here also. Hopefully they can get out to a quick start and get the Utes in a running game. I've seen this Utah team play a couple of times this year and this is definately not one of Mejerus's better teams. Good Luck

portland doesnt appear to be in the greatest of spots. theyre playing 2 california road games in 3 nights and they were in a big time track meet saturday in pepperdine, allowing close to 100 pts. only thing that scares me is that loyola might not have put the gonzaga game behind them yet. lmu was tied with gonzaga at halftime and then absolutely folded in the 2h. lmu definitely the better team and might be catching portland with some tired legs but the only concern is lmu's mental state after playing gonzaga well in the 1h saturday night only to fold the 2h

add:

marshall 2h (+4.5)
just a gut feeling here. marshall has enough fire power to keep from getting totally blown out. i dont think this one gets worse than 20. been wrong before, but i think the herd could still end up making a push to sneak inside the game line

almost on cue, jmu rolls over. getting pretty funny actually.

niagara (+1) up 11 at half.....lose outright on friday by almost 10
marymount (+13.5) saturday....tied at half...lose by 14
jmu today (+9)....leading outright by 1 with 7:00 to go...lose by 14
marshall (+21.5)...down 19 with 1:00 to go...lose by 23

if you have unlv tonight.......you have been warned.

actually, i can GUARANTEE YOU they will be leading at half. and then lose by 7

i know what you mean. certainly these absurd breaks will even out. id be more worried if i wasnt even close on the games. but just losing a ton of gms by a hook here or there along with some late folds. its gonna happen. im scaling by bets down until a couple of hoops go my way. :mad:

Maybe try changing your avatar. It seems you were hot until you went with SUNY Albany....Maybe go back to whatever worked before..not that I am superstitous or anything. Anyway...really enjoy your thorough analysis..keep up the good work, I am sure the winners will come again.

G, I know how you feel. I keep getting screwed on NBA unders because they keep going into OT. I had 2 in the same night on Friday and a huge play tonight and a turn on Memphis under and of course what happens? It goes under in regulation but then here comes OT.

And I keep thinking, how does this sh*t keep happening. To constantly pick the right side but then still lose the game. Damn I'm pissed right now :mad: :mad: :mad:

You're thinking "Why can't I have a team score in 2nd half" and I'm thinking "Why does these damn games keep going into overtime" :shrug:

I thought the tempo seem to favor UNLV but I guess their lack of experience is what really hurt them.
