w va -6-: harrisburg is a tough crackerbox to play in, but see this game as a mismatch of talent and coaching. then again, i never have thought much of sherman dillard's coaching ability. jmu couldn't even cover a medicore furman squad in their opener, and paladins should wind up in the lower rungs of the southern conference. 'neers by dd's.


sw mo -2: odum wisely backed out of the great alaska shootout this year, instead opting for this lesser holiday tourney that started his young gamecocks at home with couple of cupcakes. most of odums players had never been in a div i basketball game until last week, now they travel to frozen kc to play a tough sw mo team in front of a homer crowd. learning experience for usc, but a loss nonetheless.

Gotta agree with you on the SW MO play. These Gamecocks are young and unproven. They will also be playing without one of their only big men inside, Rolando Howell, who is currently serving a 10 game suspension. Look for a solid game out of Tarence Kinsey, Carlos Powell, and possibly Kerbrell Brown & Tre Kelly. Unfortunately, I don't think it will be enough.

The only thing that scares me about these Gamecocks is that they're too young to know they are supposed to be losing. I still think SW MO covers the number.

det -2: now that line is down to a bucket, got to give det a try with one of the best home courts around.


sd st +6: this line is out of hand imo, give slight edge to the buckeyes on paper, but they really didn't appear to be too sharp on their west coast warmup. fisher should be able to stay within striking range.
