again, another chalk play cruises (kent state) and a dog goes down (notre dame). 6 straight chalks have covered with ease. dogs floundering. complete ass backward season.

----------------------------------------------------------
(strong) wyoming (-4) over san diego state
----------------------------------------------------------
loyola chicago (+8) over illinois-chicago
----------------------------------------------------------
add: loyola chicago 2h (+7) pinnacle
(weird 2h line. pinnacle +7, oly +5)
----------------------------------------------------------
texas moneyline (+115) over texas tech
----------------------------------------------------------

wyoming..........with all due respect to the many guys whom i have a great respect for on the board, im scratching my head when i hear that "this is a great spot for san diego state". to me, this is an awful spot for the aztecs. im not debating the talent of these two teams -- san diego state is better. but that doesnt mean much here. aztecs have been garbage on the road this year. theyve lost every true road game by double digits except for their 66-63 victory over the 3-16 san diego toreros. . to make this spot even worse, san diego st. playing in a tough environment at high elevation..............just 48 hours after a double overtime road loss to colorado state. wyoming nothing special, but as long as they play a relatively clean game, they should cover this one mainly because i expect sdsu to be dragging in this game.

loyola.........this is just a tight rivalry. definitely cliche-ish to say 'throw the records out' but it does hold true here. ramblers have been brutal at times this year, but theyve had a few more days than uic to prepare for this one. uic playing their rival on the quick turnaround (saturday/monday), whereas loyola has been off since thursday. to me, uic is probably the 2nd best team in the conference in terms of talent. they have a good shot to win the horizon tourney. but theyre just not getting done away from the pavilion this season. they havent won on the road since december 2nd. theyre beatin the shit outta teams at home, but they arent bringing the same effort on the road. the last two games at loyola have both been decided by a single point. banking on the home rivalry dog to make this closer than expected. loyola can score. theyre 2nd in the horizon in scoring offense. its the defensive end where they need to focus on here. i think they sack up and keep it close.

I am surprised - I thought you were going to be the second person on a zillion sites playing Texas.

i definitely concur on texas. just think tech might come out with some early energy and lead by 5 or 6 at half. but texas wins the 2h and the game in my opinion

and for stat buffs, i would have to think that utah/air force is one of the lowest totals in the history of hoops, no?

crazy thing is- under is probably the play. 2 of the L3 in this series have been obscenely low:

42-38
57-52
45-35

loyola simply outbattling uic right now. illinois-chicago needed to make loyola play from behind. they havent done that so far. i think the flames drop another one on the road.

2h play: loyola (+7) over uic

Thanks for enlightening me on Loy-Chi. I had +7' and sneaked one out. After reading your thread, I looked at the last three games they played at Loy-Chi and two of them was decided by 1 point and the other was a small number also.

Since you are now the "Horizion Guru" (if there can be one), what is your take on tomorrows game of Wisc-Mil @ Wright St?

I am looking at laying the points myself.

thanks boys.

wolfpacker:
honestly, my initial lean is to wright state, mainly because its a good situational spot for them. but dont like the number. gonna wait it out overnight and see if it climbs a half point or a full one. glad you cashed on loyola. shoulda never been that close. was basically a 2-pt game the entire way until the final 1:00

wolfpacker:

i actually decided to take a shot on wright state (+3) on the overnight line. gonna grab it while its there. gl if you play milwaukee. i dont see this game being decided by more than a few baskets one way or the other. i just think wsu finds a way to win another close one

nice call gman,
felt like it was time aztecs win big road game after winning 2 impressive home wins. its obvious this league so far does not have a trophy team, it will be interesting to see how falcons do once they go on the road this coming week. continued success to you!!
