stronger play for monday:

northern iowa (+2.5) over southern illinois
northern iowa moneyline (+130) over southern illinois

*this team has been a very nice moneymaker for me this year at home in big games. got a good win vs iowa and then have a creighton feather in their cap. win over the jays doesnt look as good now- but at the time, creighton was ranked and playing very well.

*southern illinois is dodging bullets lately. they were sloppy during the hawaii bracket buster game, and then pissed away 2nd half leads vs creighton and bradley.

*panthers are very solid at the line at over 73%. southern illinois at a little over 68% - hardly shabby but in a tight game on the road, i think n.iowa is more reliable from the stripe.

hoping the panthers deliver the cash for me one more time in a big home game.

salukis are 11 - 1 on the road and 10 - 2 ats....although n. iowa has a solid 12 - 3 record at home, they have an average 7 - 6 record ats....pretty tough #'s to go against but good luck with ur play...:)

following sun tzu's lead here:

texas (+3.5) over oklahoma state

part of this one is a coat-tail, and part of it is just feeling that texas is the better team anyway. doesnt hurt that the horns have been a money team on monday nights.

been going back and forth on the bowling green/western michigan game as well. was very close to playing western michigan but just cant go against dakich as a home dog (which by itself is enough) and coming off a loss, with bg needing a win in order to assure themselves a home game in the mac tournament. broncos SHOULD win this game, but too many pro-bg variables make me think a pass is the better decision.

gman2,

just wanted to say thanks for the last few months. between travel, 3 kids and a wife's surgery, just haven't had the time to cap. just been following your plays and good things have happened. anyway, just wanted to say thanks and good job.

I like the N. Iowa play. The Panthers seem to have developed a knack for rising to the occasion when facing some fine teams at home. I also know that opposing sharpshooters have long complained about the background being very difficult to deal with at the UNI dome.

Small play on the under here for me as well.

How about those Seminoles!!:D

siu's defense can be stifling---they are going for a perfect 18 and 0 conference season----this would be the first time in mo valley conference history anyone has accomplished that feat

NIowa Good Luck I like the call. The line is a good one. I was hoping they would not blow it up higher. Then I would have been concerned.

per espn.com, southern illinois is trying to become the 3rd team to go through mvc play undefeated. not sure which is accurate.

regardless, east tennessee is a much better team than southern illinois and they were playing for an undefeated southern conference season and they didnt get it done.

northern iowa is also playing for their best season since joining division I.

both teams with lots at stake. should be a good game.
