NHL Season: 30-41 (-6.95 units)
1) Side/Total parlay -- Atlanta +130/under 5.5 -115 -- Total odds of +330
I really believe Atlanta wins this game outright. Atlanta got more defensive with the addition of Sutton, and Hnilicka has been playing well. Burke returns for Phoenix from a groin injury. Usually I wouldn't bet against Burke at this price but this is his first game back from a groin injury on the road against a hot team.
2) Anaheim +1.5 (-110)
Anaheim has been well lately and St. Louis has not covered one and a half goals very much lately even in their wins.
3) Detroit/Edmonton under 5 (+110)
Both Detroit and Edmonton have more under tendencies on the road and at home, respectively. Prior to their 5-2 victory at St. Louis, Detroit had not played a game with more than 5 goals in 6 previous games. Edmonton will need to find a way to slow down Detroit's offense to stay with them in this one, and I think the Oilers won't turn this into a shootout that they probably wouldn't win.
4) Los Angeles/Colorado over 4.5 (-125)
LA has gone over 4.5 goals in each of their last 5 games and 7 of their last 8 have also gone over 4.5 goals. Colorado has scored at least 3 goals in 5 of their last 6 games. These two teams just met which points to more penalties and perhaps helps the over as well. The two refs working this game are Koharski (5.67 GPG) and Kowal (5.58 GPG), so hopefully the power plays will be clicking tonight.
GL all, sorry for the late post. Input always appreciated.
