Bottom line, both teams desperately need a win. Which means we're going to get maximum effort from every player on the field tonight. Carolina is probably a better football team overall, but I don't think they're 7 points better than Green Bay in this spot. The Packers are winless so far this year, but what has Carolina done to justify laying the 7 points? I know they beat New England at home, but New England isn't the same team. The Panthers also lost to New Orleans at home. The Saints aren't any better than Green Bay. Take the points versus the Panthers until they prove that they are the team Sports Illustrated and all the other so-called experts predicted them to be.
