take this for what it is worth...

yesterday we had two games in my opinion which on paper looked like great plays...."PUBLIC PLAYS" if you will...

1.) RAMS
2.) PHILLY

and the NINERS were also

3.) NINERS

none covered....(unless you had sanfran at 3 or less) ...thos were by far the two easiest games on the board yesterday in my opinion...what is the public play tonight???...and is clearly a public play like the former 3???..im not sure...cooz

What's Up Fella's,

I was wondering what you guys thought of the revenge factor? If Pitt can't get up for this game, then thier in for a long season.

Would home field advantage negate the Revenge factor???

It's hard to say, but I think this way.. New England was at the bottom of the league in yppl last year, so you would expect the Steeler's to win the field position battle, except the steeler's lost the game last year on special teams.

Pitt has a new kicker, which will undoubtly be better than Kris Brown, but I still give the edge to NE in the kicking dept.

I think Pitt's defense will rise to the challenge tonight and create alot of 3rd and longs and Brady may not finish this game.

Taking Pitt -3 hoping it goes down before game time.

Happy Betting!!!!

MACH1...AS FAR AS THE REVENGE FACTOR I DONT THINK IT WILL BE A DECIDING FACTOR ON THIS GAME...IS IT SOMETHING THAT IS RELEVANT?...YES..BECAUSE IT EXISTS...BUT TAKE A LOOK AT GREENBAY YESTERDAY...LAST SEASON ATLANTA WAS THE ONLY TEAM TO BEAT THEM AT HOME (IF MY MEMORY SERVES ME CORRECT) ...SO YOU WOULD THINK GB WOULD HAVE AN EDGE BECAUSE OF THE "REVENGE FATCTOR" ...BUT YESTERDAY THEY WERE LUCKY TO GET A WIN NEVER MIND A COVER...

THE OTHER THING YOU HAVE TO CONSIDER IN TONIGHTS GAME IS WHETHER THE OPPSOING TEAM (WINNER FROM LAST MEETING) HAS MOTIVATION TO SHOW THAT THE LAST MEETING WAS NOT A FLUKE...I THINK TONIGHT YOU HAVE NEW ENGLAND OUT TO PROVE JUST THAT...SO IF YOU ARE CONSIDERING THE REVENGE FACTOR IN YOUR CAPPING YOU HAVE TO CONSIDER NE'S MOTIVATION TO NOT PROVE LAST YEAR WAS A FLUKE...

THUS BOTH THEORIES RULE EACH OTHER OUT

REGARDING THE SPECIAL TEAMS PLAY OF PITT...LAST YEAR THEY WERE ATROCIOUS VS. NEW ENGLAND ...THE PATS HAD 14 POINTS FROM A PUNT RETURN AND A BLOCKED FIELD GOAL...WILL THAT HAPPEN AGAIN ???...STATISTICALLY THE CHANCES ARE ASTRONOMICAL...SO I THINK YOU ARE CORRECT IN POINTING OUT THIS FACTOR...HOWEVER HOW MUCH CREDIT HAVE THE PAST RECIEVED IN THIER SPECIAL TEAM PLAY???...I SAY NONE..SO YOU ARE ASSUMING IT WAS PITT ERRORS RATHER THAN NEW ENGLAND EFFORT

GOOD LUCK ...COOZ

Pitt D...

Pitt D...

I know Cordell has only taken 20 snaps this preseason and the Patriots are opening a new stadium but never doubt the steeler defense. I see the offense struggling in the first half but with the defense keeping the score within reach, steelers win by 5. Thanks to a second half Cower pep talk!!

Gl to all!!

My pick Steelers -3

Honestly I was only thinking of Pitt. But, now that you fliped the coin there is an emotional factor for NE to prove it wasn't a fluke, but I think it hurt Pitt more to lose that game with such high expectations... Motivation is a key ingredient to a good football team, so I don't under estimate this factor at all.

I have to agree on your point about the mental mistakes of Pitt and the effort of NE. I think effort did play a key role in causing the mistakes of Pitt. Which brings me back to motivation. It's embarrasing to have that kind of performance in a playoff game.

I still look for Pitt to come out swinging tonight..

Cheers

good luck either way, but do you really think a professional team wants to "demolish" an another team so bad they design a gameplan around that rather than simply winning? Pit wants to win the game, nothing more or less. So does NE. Despite the fact that on paper pit is superior in most aspects, nothing significant has changed since the last meeting, which pit lost. A large part of that was special teams, and pit hasn't done enough to fix it. While the amount of special teams damage last meeting was probably a little high, that's what a good special teams gets you--extra points.

NE gets 3 pts for home, another point or two for MNF home, and another 3 for special teams advantage. Is pit 10 pts better than NE in all other aspects combined? That's what it would take for them to push -3 tonight....

this game is a tough cap...both teams have good defenses...and capable offenses...im banking my picks on the assumption that no one will be able to run the ball tonight..making each team one dimensional...

so we have BRADY vs. Stewart...

patriots plus 3
over 37

both are small plays ...again way to early to be laying lumber...and like i said really cant get a firm grip on this one...good luck everyone cooz
