loyola (+4) 2 units. wow, how often can i go to the 'bet against siena at home' well? as long as they keep failing to cover, i reckon. siena hasn't covered as a favorite since 2010. the road team has covered 15 of the last 17 in this matchup. that's nuckin' futs. siena rolled over loyola 10 days ago, and yet the line hasn't adjusted at all for this game? siena was getting 3 at loyola so in theory they "should" be laying 5 tonight at home. but it opened at 4.5 and has dropped to 4.

on a personal note, ryan rossiter is about to pass my old roommate as siena's all-time leading rebounder. boooooo

thanks ,morris. it's amazing how easy it can be sometimes.

nah, my college basketball career never made it past intramurals. kurby

ish (i don't know where it came from, but that was his nickname) was a great guy and a pretty damn good card player, too. the phone bill was in my name, but i always paid his share because of the money i'd owe him from cards. :)

i've thought many, many times that it's a damn good thing siena games weren't part of the rotation in those days. coulda got myself into some trouble.

when we finally get together for a beer, remind me to tell you the story about ish, me, and mike mcghee (not sure if you remember him, but he was on the team, too) at the burger king on route 9 after a game one night.

smitty..nice call on Loy....not sure what Jackson did tonite.... I'm not a Mitch B. fan though...my all time favorite saint was Marc Brown....what a scorer but a better passer...saw him a few times and loved him...Also Banks..he played with Brady....and Brady was nice..But Brown was unreal... saw Rossiter in HS and he was really a project...has improved over the years...

thanks, box. playing in that arena gives them no home court advantage whatsoever when it's half-empty.

yeah, i commented on the coach in a thread a few days ago. for years, d'argenio always brought in one good young coach after another. maybe he finally got sick of them all leaving after a couple years, and decided to go with a maac retread.

marc brown was unreal. got to know him just a little his senior year. really nice guy. and i felt privileged to watch him play that year. unfortunately, i haven't been able to find a game-by-game breakdown of his stats, but he was setting a new career high every night his last month. it was just sick to watch. he was very flashy, but fundamentally sound at the same time. rare combination.

rossiter is impressive. his game looks so ugly, but he does everything properly, and just wills himself to get points and rebounds.

Maaction

ok, box, if you're still reading, i grant you permission to use "maaction". :0008

hogman, i'd feel like i was getting a little greedy if i took all of those. plus, i like the alliteration of 'monday maaction'. if the wac plays tomorrow, maybe we could have a little 'wednesday waction'.

left out was another obvious one... MACtion.
